Abstract: Corrosion-resistant, self-priming coatings that are curable by ultraviolet energy and methods for coating surfaces using such coatings have been provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a method for coating a surface includes formulating a chromium-free, self-priming coating, applying the chromium-free, self-priming coating to the surface, and curing the chromium-free, self-priming coating with ultraviolet light.
