  • Patent number: 6735877
Abstract: An angle measuring device for measuring an angular position of a stationary object with respect to an object which is rotatable around an axis of rotation, that includes a rotor which is connected to the rotatable object which rotates about the axis of rotation and a stator that includes a scanning unit for scanning a graduation, which moves in relation to the scanning unit. A coupler is fastened to the stationary object or stator so as to seat the stator on the stationary object that has a contact face which extends transversely with respect to the axis of rotation. The coupler has a contact face that extends transversely with respect to the axis of rotation and engages the clamping face of the stationary object or stator so that a clamping force is generated so as to fasten the coupler to the stationary object and wherein the coupler is fixed against relative rotation, but is radially and/or axially elastic.

  • Publication number: 20040002775
Abstract: Based on the realization that, at the instant a holding brake in the drive of a machine tool is actuated, it may not be necessary to precisely observe the setpoint values, it may be provided to adapt control parameters in the controller of the drive such that, given an engaged holding brake, oscillations may be avoided or substantially reduced. By applying a correction value to the controller, it may be possible to prevent the adaptation of the control parameters from resulting in a change at the output of the controller.

  • Publication number: 20030178557
Abstract: A position encoder is used to measure the position of two objects which are movable relatively to one another, and, for this purposes, includes a position-detection arrangement via which positional data are generated. In addition, the position-measuring device has at least one temperature sensor, which is used for measuring the temperature at at least one measuring point of the two objects, which are movable relative to each other, and for generating temperature data. The temperature sensor is configured as an infrared sensor which measures in a contactless manner and may be mounted in a housing of the position encoder. The position encoder is used, for example, in conjunction with an electric drive.

  • Patent number: 6542088
Abstract: A multi-turn rotary encoder that includes a first code carrier connected with an input shaft, a scanning device that scans the first code carrier and generates an absolute position of the input shaft within one revolution, and a digital code word is present at an output of the scanning device and a second code carrier for measuring the number of revolutions of the input shaft. A reduction gear is arranged between and coupled to the first and second code carriers. The second code carrier includes a magnetic body with at least one north and south pole and a substrate with a spatial arrangement of sensor elements integrated therein, which are sensitive to magnetic fields, is associated with the magnetic body.

  • Patent number: 6528779
Abstract: An optoelectronic module including a transparent substrate that carries a conductor track, an optoelectronic chip having an optoelectronic sensor and/or emitter for light disposed on the substrate, and via a contacting element the chip is connected to the conductor track and kept spaced apart from the transparent substrate. An opaque light blocking element, disposed between the substrate and the chip, that shields the sensor from lateral incident light and/or lateral light opposite the emitter.
