Abstract: Use of dry electrolytes to polish metal surfaces through ion transport. A conductive liquid of the dry electrolyte includes at least a sulfonic acid. According to one embodiment, the porous particles of the dry electrolyte include sulfonate polymer, such as, polystyrene divinylbenzene. According to one embodiment, the conductive liquid of the dry electrolyte includes methane-sulfonic acid. Preferably, the concentration of the sulfonic acid in relation to the solvent is ranging from 1 to 70%. Optionally, the conductive liquid of the dry electrolyte includes a complexing agent and/or a chelating agent.

Abstract: An electrodeposition process for electrodeposition of a metal on a metal part (1), includes the connection of the metal part (1) to be treated to a first electrical pole of a current generator and a second pole opposite the first pole connected to the electrolytic medium through an electrode (3), and includes relative movement of the metal part (1) in relation to a set of free solid particles (4) that retain a conductive solution. The solution includes metal cations of the metal to be deposited charged with a positive electrical charge in a non-conductive environment (5) that causes the reduction of the metal cations of the conductive solution on the surface of the metal part to be treated (1). An electrolytic medium for electrodeposition of a metal on a metal part (1) is also provided.

Abstract: A self-disinfecting coating (1) for surfaces: is provided that includes a base matrix (2) and a loading solution (3), the matrix (2) in turn includes a gel base (10) and a gel fluid (7), and the loading solution (3) comprises an active disinfectant ingredient (4), in such a way that the base matrix (2) is able to absorb and retain the active ingredient (4) while maintaining, on the free surface of the coating (1), a sufficient concentration of active ingredient (4), thus maintaining the surface disinfected. The gel base (10) may include a protein of collagen, albumin or elastin and glycerine as the plasticising agent (6). The loading solution (3) may include elemental iodine as an active ingredient (4) and ethanol as the loading solvent (8). The self-disinfecting coating (1) may include a base substrate (11) that includes therein the base matrix (2) and loading solution (3).
