Patent number: 10767375Abstract: A mechanism to secure the base of a pole to the lid of a flatbox finisher is provided. The mechanism utilizes at least one spring grasping device on the lid of the flat box finisher to grasp and secure the base of the pole. The grasping mechanism is depressed and grasps a generally flat rectangular edge of the base of the pole and secures the base of the pole to the lid of the flatbox finisher by friction. In particular, as the base having the pole of the flatbox finisher is first slid over the grasping mechanism, the grasping mechanism is first pushed downward. After the base slides over the grasping mechanism, the grasping mechanism springs back upward and locks the base of the pole into place on the lid of the flatbox finisher.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2017Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: DRYWALL MASTER TOOLS, INC.Inventors: Anirudh Kalbag, Robert Payne

Patent number: 10378221Abstract: A drywall mud applicator wheelless control tube is provided. The drywall mud applicator wheelless control tube has a plastic component (in an embodiment) having a rubber o-ring or spring which provides pressure to a slanted cylindrical ledge protrusion which allows the control tube to slide up and down a main mud applicator tube without the need for wheels on the control tube. As a result, the wheelless control tube increases the sliding and smoothness of the control tube as it slides over the main mud applicator tube.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2018Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: DRYWALL MASTER TOOLS, INC.Inventor: Anirudh Kalbag

After the base slides over the grasping mechanism, the grasping mechanism springs back upward and locks the base of the pole into place on the lid of the flatbox finisher. Wing nuts may then be used to further secure the base of the pole to the lid of the flatbox finisher.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2017Publication date: October 26, 2017Applicant: DRYWALL MASTER TOOLS, INCInventor: ANIRUDH KALBAG

Patent number: 8747006Abstract: The invention generally relates to a flat box finisher for applying mud (or mastic or joint compound) over taped joints on walls and ceilings. Usually, paint or wallpaper is then applied over the finished mud. The flat box finisher has no external springs, but has at least one internal support bar which acts as a spring for applying pressure to a corresponding dry wall finishing handle affixed to the flat box finisher. The internal support bar is surrounded by the mud while the device is in use. As a result of having no external spring, the flat box finisher may be reduced in size for smaller jobs or difficult to reach areas of a room. The internal support bar may also eliminate problems with external springs, such as the spring wearing out or becoming damaged during use or storage.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2010Date of Patent: June 10, 2014Assignee: Drywall Master Tool, Inc.Inventor: Robert Payne

Patent number: 8517077Abstract: The invention generally relates to an automatic taper for drywall. More specifically, the invention relates to a manner for accessing the interior of the business end of the automatic taper for drywall. The taper may have an easily removable cover plate which may allow a user to obtain easy access to the interior of the nozzle of the taper. A user may gain access to the interior of the nozzle by flipping a rotating securing bar upward and then removing the removable cover plate.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2011Date of Patent: August 27, 2013Assignee: Drywall Master Tools, Inc.Inventor: Robert L. Patent number: 8381789Abstract: An automatic drywall taper is provided. The automatic drywall taper has a securing device for securing drywall tape to the body of the taper during use. The securing device has an elongated bar which runs substantially parallel to the body of the taper. The elongated bar is spring activated to lock a hub on a bar which is attached substantially perpendicular to the body of the taper. The hub rotates thereby allowing the tape to dispense and be used on drywall. The hub has a braking mechanism which allows for the controlled release of the tape.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2011Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: Drywall Master Tools, Inc.Inventor: Robert L.
