Abstract: A door frame and gusset system for adjustably attaching a strike plate to a door frame. The door frame includes an emboss indentation having slots and tabs. The tabs engage and align a gusset mounted on the back side of the door frame opposite the strike plate. The gusset has threaded holes for engaging screws which attach the strike plate to the gusset through the slots in the emboss indentation. The gusset also has slots which engage the tabs to allow the gusset to move horizontally with respect to the frame and prevent vertical movement of the gusset with respect to the frame. The slots in the emboss indentation allow relative movement of the gusset and strike plate with respect to the door frame to adjust the position of the strike plate. A separate dust box may also be incorporated between the gusset and the door frame. In addition, integral gusset and dust box assembly may be used in connection with the door frame and gusset system.

Abstract: A door frame and a method for constructing a door frame assembly for use in prefabricated housing. The door frame assembly has a header frame and two side frames fixedly attached and constructed out of metal. The door frame assembly is slidable into position in a prefabricated housing unit. The individual frame members are preferably manufactured from galvanized steel.
Abstract: A door frame and gusset system for attaching a hinge for supporting a door. The door frame includes an emboss indentation having a universal set of openings which can match a plurality of different screw hole patterns for hinges.
Abstract: Pivot and guide rod assembly for bi-fold door includes plastic sleeve for mounting in door channel and supporting a pivot rod. A spring is arranged to urge the pivot rod outwardly from the sleeve, a tang latch being provided on the sleeve for retaining the sleeve in the channel, and a groove defined on the pivot rod to engage an inwardly swedged portion of the plastic sleeve to retain the pivot rod in a retracted position during shipping and mounting of the door.
Abstract: An adjustable door jamb assembly which can be simply and accurately aligned and installed in a door opening. Sleeves mounted on door jamb pieces are connected by shafts forming guide units so the door jamb pieces can slide together or apart. The sleeves of the guide units surround the corresponding shafts so as to substantially eliminate play between the door jamb pieces in both the vertical and the horizontal direction parallel to the plane of the door opening. In a preferred embodiment, the sleeves and shafts are cylindrical for greater ease in installation of the door jamb assembly.
