  • Patent number: 7424506
Abstract: A method is presented comprising analyzing two or more input terms on a per-bit basis within each level of bit-significance. Maximally segmenting each of the levels of bit-significance into one or more one-, two-, and/or three-bit groups, and designing a hyperpipelined hybrid Wallace tree adder utilizing one or more full-adders, half-adders, and associated register based, at least in part, on the maximal segmentation of the input terms.

  • Patent number: 7395042
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention can be used to enhance signals in a peer-to-peer radio system, such as a two-way radio system. In one embodiment, the invention includes receiving a communications signal on a channel from a remote radio at a radio using a plurality of antenna elements, such as an antenna array. The received communications signal includes a squelch code. The radio detects the squelch code, and enhances the received communications signal using the squelch code.

  • Patent number: RE42224
Abstract: An emergency call recognition system which is activated when an off-hook situation occurs, which recognizes when an emergency number is dialed with or without the presence of a dial tone, and which provides the caller a communication channel to complete such a call. The present invention is used to give priority to emergency telephone calls. Typically the present invention is used in wireless local loop systems, however the present invention can also be incorporated into a conventional telephone system. The present invention uses an emergency call recognition system to determine if a person is dialing an emergency telephone number. If the emergency call recognition system recognizes a dialed telephone number as an emergency telephone number, then the caller is provided with a communication channel to complete the telephone call. The caller is provided a communication channel even if all of the communication channels are in use. This is accomplished by disconnecting calls that are not of an emergency nature.
