Patent number: 5316499Abstract: A coaxial cable connector including an annular outer conductor; an inner conductor disposed coaxially within the outer conductor; an annular insulator retained between the inner conductor and the outer conductor; and an annular mounting flange rotatably mounted on the outer conductor and projecting radially outwardly therefrom.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1993Date of Patent: May 31, 1994Assignee: Dynawave IncorporatedInventors: Anthony R. Scannelli, Donald G. Gartzke, Christopher Lewis

Patent number: 5267877Abstract: A connector for a helically corrugated conduit and includes a coupling mechanism defining a cavity for receiving an end of a conduit having external corrugations, and a stop surface disposed within the cavity; a hollow fastener threadedly engaged with the connector mechanism and defining an engagement surface; and a collar disposed in the cavity and having internal grooves adapted to engage the external corrugations on the conduit, the collar having an inner end surface for engaging the stop surface and an outer end surface for engaging the engagement surface, and wherein circumferentially spaced apart portions of the collar are split by longitudinally extending slot means. Forcible engagement between the connector mechanism and fastener produces circumferential contraction of the collar along the slot and radially against the outer surface of the conduit.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1992Date of Patent: December 7, 1993Assignee: Dynawave IncorporatedInventors: Anthony R. Scannelli, Christopher Lewis

Patent number: 5242316Abstract: A coaxial connector including an outer conductor having a hollow cylindrical body portion and a plurality of substantially parallel, circumferentially spaced apart spring fingers extending longitudinally from the body portion, each of the fingers having a free end terminating with a radially outwardly projecting latch portion; an inner conductor disposed coaxially within the outer conductor; a cylindrical insulator member disposed between the inner and outer conductors; a hollow cylindrical and electrically conductive bushing surrounding the fingers and at least a section of the body portion, the bushing having an inner surface defining an annular recess receiving the latch portions; and an annular coiled, electrically conductive spring engaged between the body portion and the bushing. The spring fingers facilitate rapid interconnection of the outer conductor and the bushing while the spring provides RFI suppression.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1992Date of Patent: September 7, 1993Assignee: Dynawave IncorporatedInventors: Donald G. Gartzke, Anthony R. Scannelli, Christopher Lewis

Patent number: 4963105Abstract: An electrical connector assembly including a male plug having a male inner conductor and a cylindrical male outer conductor surrounding the inner conductor and having an annular outer surface portion; a female plug having a female inner conductor and a cylindrical female outer conductor surrounding the female inner conductor and having an annular inner surface portion surrounding the outer surface portion, and an annular electrically conductive coil spring extending around the outer surface portion and engaged between the inner and outer surface portions and wherein the spring is adapted to exert therebetween forces that cause axial loading between the male and female outer conductors. In addition to locking the male plug to the female plug, the electrically conductive coil spring enhances the electrical connection between the outer conductors and improves radio frequency interference suppression.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1989Date of Patent: October 16, 1990Assignee: Dynawave IncorporatedInventors: Christopher Lewis, Donald G. Gartzke, Anthony R. Scannelli

Patent number: 4737601Abstract: An hermetically sealed electrical feedthrough assembly including an elongated inner electrical conductor having first and second ends; a glass body hermetically sealed around one length portion of the inner conductor adjacent to the first end thereof; a metal adapter hermetically sealed around the glass body and adapted for mounting in a wall of a housing; a tubular outer electrical conductor enclosing and coaxial with another length portion of the inner electrical conductor, the outer electrical conductor being separated from the inner electrical conductor by an annular volume and having one end portion electrically connected to the metal adapter and an opposite end portion disposed adjacent to the second end of the inner electrical conductor; and electrical insulation filling the annular volume and electrically isolating the outer electrical conductor from the another length portion of the inner electrical conductor.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1986Date of Patent: April 12, 1988Assignee: Dynawave IncorporatedInventor: Donald G. Gartzke
