Abstract: A system to smooth and radius a microhole in a workplace to calibrate the mircohole which comprises means for preconditioning a microhole with a liquid abrasive slurry at a first station, means for flowing a calibration fluid through the preconditioned microhole and means for flowing a slurry through the microhole for a predetermined time based on the flow rate of the calibration fluid.

Abstract: A system and method for radiusing and sizing microholes in diesel fuel injectors. A liquid abrasive slurry with rheological properties is used. As the slurry approaches and flows through the microhole, it is at first at a lower viscosity. Subsequently, the slurry is characterized by a high viscosity which enables the use of a flow meter in the slurry flow path which directly and accurately monitors slurry flow rate and mass flow in real time. This allows for the individual slurry processing of nozzles to their specified flow rate in a continuous process.
Abstract: A system and method for radiusing and sizing microholes in diesel fuel injectors. A liquid abrasive slurry with rheological properties is used. As the slurry approaches and flows through the microhole it is at a first lower viscosity. Subsequently, the slurry is characterized by a higher viscosity which enables the use of a floor meter in the slurry flow path which directly and accurately monitors slurry flow rate and mass flow in real time. This allows for individual slurry processing of nozzles to their specified flow race in a continuous process.
Abstract: A pair of bucket bowls are pivotally suspended from a power head frame in which is mounted two pairs of hydraulic rams. Each of the hydraulic rams has one end pivotally connected to the power head frame and another end pivotally connected to a bucket bowl. The power head frame houses power components in specially designed compartments so as to achieve a symmetrical configuration to balance the forces acting on the bucket bowls.
Abstract: Method and Tooling for removing material from holes or orifices (round or other shapes) or the like in a workpiece, the method and tooling providing means for directing at least a first portion of an abrasive flow composition under pressure from a main body of composition from one side of a workpiece to another side of the workpiece (i.e. about the workpiece) so as to permit at least a second portion of the abrasive flow composition also under pressure from the same main body of composition to easily flow through the holes therein. In the preferred embodiment a first portion of the composition which is directed about the workpiece is returned to a point adjacent another side of the workpiece and is directed at an angle to the flow of the second portion of the composition through the holes in order to produce an interaction between the flow of said first and second portions of said composition.
