    Abstract: A combine header transport may be rapidly and easily adjusted to support a wide variety of kinds and shapes of headers for transport. The transport includes an inclined bracket having a slotted sloped surface. A rail having a plate affixed thereto overlies the sloped surface and a second plate underlies the sloped surface. The underlying plate has an offset at one end which receives a first coupling to the overlying plate, and a second hooked coupling couples the other ends of the plates together. When the second coupling is relaxed, the rail may be readily slid along the sloped surface to effect rapid and simultaneous adjustment of the rail in both the transverse horizontal direction and in vertical elevation, and the adjustment may be accomplished without a wrench or other tool.

The trailer includes rotatably movable platforms along its edges which are rotatable between a first position presenting a minimum trailer width and a second position presenting an enlarged, maximum trailer width. When rotated to the maximum width position, the platforms also form a support surface which is of reduced height to maximize the height of equipment loads which may be supported and transported upon the trailer.

    Abstract: An expandable hay bale carrier and feeder and flexible vehicle for feeding livestock include a wheeled chassis with a bed thereon for supporting the bales, a pair of spaced end walls and a pair of spaced side walls. The side walls are mounted by a telescopically slidable assembly to move transversely of the bed between a first maximum width position spaced from the end walls and a second minimum width position adjacent the end walls. As the livestock feed and reach for more hay the force which they exert against the side walls automatically moves the side walls toward the minimum width position as the hay is consumed, and the respective ends of the side walls may move independently of each other to compensate for unequal consumption of the hay. The side walls may be opened to permit the loading and unloading of the hay bales and the livestock may feed from all sides of the feeder.

    Abstract: A mobile basket for accumulating and transporting hay bales includes a container mounted on wheels. The container has a pair of side walls which are spaced from each other and the spacing is greater at the rear of the container than at the front thereof. A chute is also provided at the front of the container to receive hay bales directly from a hay baler and discharge them to the container. The rear wall may be opened and shut remotely, and a plurality of the containers may be readily nested with relation to each other for shipment.

    Abstract: An unloading system for a container, such a forage box, includes a floor and a pair of parallel sidewalls. An auger is located in the container and a hydraulic motor on the auger rotates the auger to convey material in the container toward one end thereof. The auger is mounted on movable carriages and a second hydraulic motor drives the carriages to advance the auger transversely across the floor of the container between the sidewalls while the auger is rotating. A second cross auger is positioned adjacent the discharge end of the aforementioned auger and extends transversely of the container to receive the material conveyed by the first auger and discharge it from the container, and the second auger is also driven by a hydraulic motor. The hydraulic motor which transversely advances the first auger includes a relief valve which controls the hydraulic fluid pressure of that motor to vary the speed of the transverse movement across the floor of the container.

    Abstract: A side extension for increasing the volumetric capacity of a vehicle body includes an elongate wall, a first flange extending longitudinally of the wall and bent inwardly of the body from the wall along a bottom edge of the wall and at a sloped incline to the wall, and a second flange bent from the edge of the first flange and extending backward toward the wall. The second flange is fastened to a flange on the vehicle body which extends inwardly of the body. The first and second flanges substantially define a "V" in cross section increasing the strength of the side extension walls, maximizing the capacity of the vehicle body and preventing retention of material carried by the vehicle body at the junction between the side extensions and the vehicle body.
