Abstract: Methods of manufacturing multi-colored mulch pads include providing a mold; mixing together a rubber component, a binder and a first coloring agent to form a matrix having a first colored surface; and introducing a second coloring agent onto the matrix to create a multicolored skirt having a second colored surface opposite the first colored surface.

Abstract: A stackable landscape edging segment is disclosed that can be stacked to form multi-layer landscape edging. The landscape edging segment has an elongated body. A lower stacking connection feature and an upper stacking connection feature are coupled to the elongated body. The upper stacking connection feature is formed to connect to a matching landscape edging segment by engaging with a matching lower stacking connection feature. In one embodiment, the stackable landscape edging segment comprises a plurality of spikes connected to and extending downward from the elongated body. And, each spike includes a lower stacking connection feature. In this embodiment, the stackable landscape edging segment also comprises a plurality of upper stacking connection features, each associated with and aligned with one of the spikes. Further disclosed are methods of manufacturing and using the stackable landscape edging segments.

Abstract: An improved landscape edging is provided that comprises an elongated anchoring panel that has a plurality of hollow, molded projections extending from one or both faces. The interior of each projection is open on the opposite face of the anchoring panel, forming a concave soil socket that becomes filled with soil when the edging is installed in the soil. A trim member is provided along the top of the anchoring panel. Also provided are an extrusion method for manufacturing the edging, in which the projections and sockets are formed by molding the initial extruded form, and a method for using the edging of this invention, comprising excavating a trench, placing the edging therein, and connecting multiple segments of edging to one another.
