  • Patent number: 11773348
Abstract: The invention includes a solid rinse aid that is particularly designed for extrusion solid formation and which is effective for creating spotless surfaces after rinsing. According to the invention, application has identified the critical combination of solid surfactants, coupling agents, hydrotrope, and hardening agents that is acceptable in the extrusion process to create a solid. The hydrotrope includes one or more short-chain alkylbenzene and/or alkyl naphthalene sulfonates. The composition hardens quickly but not so quick as to negatively impact the extrusion process. The compositions may also be used to form pressed or cast solids.

  • Patent number: 11759752
Abstract: A fluorometric monitoring technique can be used to rapidly evaluate the efficiency of an osmosis membrane. In some examples, the technique includes injecting a bolus of fluorescent tracer into a feed stream. The tracer may be introduced for a period of time less than what is required for the tracer to reach an equilibrium concentration in the permeate stream. The feed stream and the permeate stream may be fluorometrically analyzed to determine a flow rate-independent cumulative-time concentration of the fluorescent tracer in the both streams. The efficiency of the osmosis membrane can then be determined based on these flow rate-independent cumulative-time concentrations.

  • Patent number: 11739460
Abstract: A filtration-free liquid sampling system may be used to extract particulate or debris-containing liquid samples that may otherwise plug a filter over its service life. For example, such a system may be used to extract liquid sample from an industrial textile washer to monitor and/or validate the quality of wash conditions within the washer. In some examples, the system includes a pump that creates a vacuum on a backstroke, drawing liquid into a sensor housing positioned between the pump and the washer. After holding the liquid in the sensor housing long enough to measure its properties, the pump can be driven in a reverse stroke to pressurize the contents in the sensor housing and force the liquid back into the washer. This vacuum fill/pressure purge can keep the sensor housing free of debris.
