Patents Assigned to Eitel Presses, Inc.
  • Publication number: 20080011040
Abstract: A bend-straightening machine with a vertically movable table for straightening long workpieces is provided. The bend-straightening machine of the present disclosure includes straightening supports for supporting a workpiece mounted on a movable table which moves in a vertical plane driven by a driving mechanism. The machine is constructed as a rigid frame including a base for supporting at least one upright column. A fixed bridge is joined to an upper portion of the upright column and supplies a stationary surface for mounting at least two workpiece holding fixtures, which grip the ends of the workpiece, allowing the workpiece to be rotated. Also, mounted to the bridge is at least one straightening punch which remains stationary during straightening. The moving table and straightening supports act vertically upward on the workpiece causing the workpiece to bend, i.e., straighten, when it contacts the straightening punch.

  • Patent number: 6393890
Abstract: The invention relates to a bend-straightening machine for long workpieces (21), said machine having workpiece holding fixtures (19) arranged on a machine base (2) to grip the ends of the workpiece (21) in a rotatable manner. The machine has at least two straightening bases (22) arranged a distance apart on the machine base (2) for support of the workpiece in its vertical direction. At least one straightening punch (17) is provided between the straightening bases (22) to act upon the workpiece. The straightening punch (17) is mounted to an actuating mechanism which can be moved towards the workpiece and away from it by means of a driving mechanism to be embodied as a ram (5) which holds the straightening punch in the vertical alignment of the workpiece and which can be moved in a vertical plane by means of the drive mechanism. This design assures precise, directionally accurate straightening of the workpiece with a simple method of construction.

  • Patent number: 5839315
Abstract: The invention relates to a bend-straightening machine for long workpieces (7), said machine having workpiece holding fixtures (5) arranged on a machine table (3) to grip the ends of the workpiece (7) in a rotatable manner. The machine has at least two straightening bases (9) arranged a distance apart on the machine table for support of the workpiece in its longitudinal direction. At least one straightening ram (28) is provided between the straightening bases to act upon the workpiece. The straightening ram is mounted to an actuating mechanism which can be moved towards the workpiece and away from it by means of a driving mechanism (15). The invention provides for the actuating mechanism to be embodied as a bridge (17) which holds the straightening ram in the vertical alignment of the workpiece and which can be moved in a vertical plane by means of the drive mechanism. This design assures precise, directionally accurate straightening of the workpiece with a simple method of construction.
