Abstract: An apparatus for producing electrolyzed water includes an electrochemical cell and a solution reservoir containing a solution and having an outlet. An injection pump has an input end in fluid communication with the outlet of the solution reservoir and an output end in fluid communication with the electrochemical cell, wherein the injection pumps an amount of the solution from the solution reservoir to mix with a water solution and enter the electrochemical cell. A current feedback sensor senses a cell current in the electrochemical cell. A current control unit in data communication with the current feedback sensor and the injection pump wherein the current control unit compares the cell current with a preselected current and adjusts the amount of solution pumped from the injection pump responsive to the comparison. The apparatus may also include an automatic control feedback system to monitor and adjust pH.
Abstract: Processing poultry includes the application of electrolyzed water as one step during the processing process. Acidic and/or basic electrolyzed water can be applied to a poultry carcass during the processing process using a nozzle, an electrostatic sprayer or by immersion.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide for methods of cleaning and disinfecting the vaginal area using electrolyzed water. The electrolyzed water may be applied to both the interior and exterior of the vaginal area. A particularly preferred embodiment provides for the application of Type C water to the vaginal area. Additional preferred embodiments provide for the application of Type B water to the vaginal area followed by the application of Type A water or Type C water to the vaginal area.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide for a method of cleaning and disinfecting the skin using electrolyzed water. A particularly preferred embodiment provides for the application of Type C water to the skin. Additional preferred embodiments provide for the application of Type B water to the skin followed by the application of Type A water or Type C water to the skin.
Abstract: A system and method for cleaning and disinfecting soft surfaces such as carpets, fabrics and the like and for cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces such as plaster, drywall, concrete, linoleum, counter tops, wood, metal, tile and the like is disclosed. The system and method uses electrolyzed alkaline water produced by an electrolysis process using a standard electrolyte solution of water and an electrolyte, wherein the electrolyte includes sodium chloride (NaCl) at a concentration between about 1% and 50%. In a preferred embodiment about a 20% concentration of sodium chloride is used. The electrolyzed alkaline water produced by this method is effective in cleaning and disinfecting both soft and hard surfaces.
