Patents Assigned to ELECTRICITY NORTH WEST PROPERTY LIMITED
  • Patent number: 11552459
Abstract: There is provided a method of improving an electrical link box. The method includes steps of opening the electrical link box to provide access to a space within the electrical link box; inserting an electrical link box safety improving container into the space in the electrical link box; and closing the electrical link box; wherein the electrical link box safety improving container contains a filling material for mitigating blasts in the electrical link box. A safer electrical link box may be provided using the method.

  • Publication number: 20220231507
Abstract: System for controlling voltage supply to a portion of a distribution grid, the portion of the grid including a substation providing one or more circuit element operable to increase or decrease the voltage supplied to consumers within the portion of the grid. Data set includes a previously measured power consumption associated with previously measured values of at least one property for a portion of the grid. Measurement device measures the at least one property supplied within the portion of the grid. Processing device determines from the previously measured values of the at least one property in the data set an effect of altering the value of the at least one property from a first value to a second value, on the power consumption of those consumers.

  • Publication number: 20210175743
Abstract: System for controlling power consumption on a portion of a distribution grid providing electrical power to a plurality of power-consuming units and including a substation providing one or more transformers operable to increase or decrease the voltage supplied to consumers within the portion of the grid. A data set includes a previously measured power consumption associated with previously measured values of (a) property(ies) being one of voltage, current, frequency or load, or a combination thereof. A measurement device for measuring the property(ies) of the grid. A processing device to determine from the previously measured values of the property(ies) a most likely effect of altering the value(s) of the property(ies) from a first value to a second value. A storage device for storing one or more rules associating a measured condition with a corrective action. The system being operable to determine whether a measurement meets a measured condition of a stored rule.
