Abstract: This invention relates to a storage system comprising a rack having at least two opposite walls each wall being provided with several horizontal tracks, one above the other, for permanently applied carriages running along the tracks, the carriages at the first wall cooperating with the carriages at the second wall so that the carriages in pairs serve as a support for a load carrying element extending between the carriages on each horizontal plane possibly with the exception of a lower plane being movable in such a way that it is possible to create a free space above each load carrier element, a hoisting device being movable horizontally above the load carrier elements and vertically in the free space above any of the uncovered carrier elements. Each horizontal track or cooperating pair of tracks has a common drive means by means of which a suitable number of the carriages which are moved along the track or tracks can be moved simultaneously to form the free space.

Abstract: This invention relates to a sheet metal shelving comprising posts and shelves. The posts include a waist which by means of a first flange is connected to a second flange. The waist abuts a first edge part of the shelf whereas the second flange engages recesses in a second edge part of the shelf. The second edge part forms a closed torsion resistant profile with several in vertical direction separated extending flanges having said recesses.

Abstract: This invention relates to a device in a storage rack, for instance a pallet rack. The device comprises upright columns and stays interconnecting the columns. The columns have mainly a C-shaped profile with a centrally disposed bent part to take up the forces, whereas the stays each comprise an elongated tube having L-shaped end parts being connected to the said bent part.

Abstract: A device in the storage system having movable units placed one beside the other and provided with shelves, the units being movable sidewise on tracks in order to form a passage between two units movable in opposite directions, the passage allowing access to the units, and a handling device movable into said passage for loading or unloading of articles into and out of the units. The tracks carrying the movable units are composed of interspaced sections placed on the floor which are provided with upwardedly directed support wheels or rollers, and that in the interspaces uninterrupted rails extend therein upon which said handling devices are movable.

Abstract: A device for locking a beam to an upright column. The beam is provided with hooks adapted to be inserted into holes in the upright column and to be locked by a member which is a part of a spring-activated lock device. The lock device can be extracted and moved to a position in which a first stop surface of the device rests on the outside of the beam below the hole. When the lock device is moved to a position such that a second stop surface of the lock device upon insertion of the beam into an upright moves the member to a locking position of the beam to the column.

Abstract: A storage structure comprises several storage racks the majority of which are movable between two end positions in order to form a passageway between two adjacent storage racks. An elongate locking device, for example a safety chain, is arranged between each pair of adjacent storage racks, one end of which is secured to one storage rack. The other end of the locking device is in the form of a contact member, which for starting a process of movement coacts with a stationary contact member in said storage rack. The contact member of the locking device is also connectable to the adjacent storage rack for mechanically locking the passageway which can be formed between the storage racks.
