    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a clothing wire which is suitable for fitting to an opening-cylinder base body, wherein a raw wire which is customarily used to produce clothing wire is processed on end to form a wire coil, in which the teeth of the wire are perpendicular to the coil axis and which has a diameter which corresponds to the diameter of the opening-cylinder base body or differs by at most ±5% from the diameter of the opening-cylinder base body, and the wire coil is pushed loosely onto a support device and, together with this device, is introduced into an electroplating unit, the process steps which are customarily used for the chemical deburring of a raw wire and the nickel-diamond coating of a clothed opening cylinder taking place in the electroplating unit, and the clothing wire being removed from the electroplating unit.

C. with exclusion of oxygen in a sintering furnace and maintaining it within this temperature range for from 10 to 120 minutes; and(d) subsequently sintering the preformed body by heating to from 2100.degree. C. to 2250.degree. C.

The dispersant and binder used is a magnesium chloride hydrate as a mixture with magnesium oxide and water and, after molding, the mixtures are hardened at temperatures from 30.degree. to 60.degree. C. In addition, ceramic fibers, such as silicon carbide, can also be processed as fillers. The green compacts thus produced are sufficiently stable, so that they can be worked mechanically.

    Abstract: Pressure-sintered polycrystalline mixed materials, with a base of boron nitride, oxides and carbides, are provided in which the hexagonal boron nitride fraction is about 30 to about 85% by weight, the oxide fraction (ZrO.sub.2, MgO) is about 10 to about 50% by weight, and the carbide fraction (SiC, TiC, ZrC) is about 5 to about 20% by weight. These mixed materials have a density of at least 94% of the theoretical density and can be produced by hot-pressing powder mixtures composed of hexagonal boron nitride, the selected oxides and carbides at temperatures in the range of from 1500.degree. C. to 1800.degree. C. under a die pressure of 7 to 20 MPa or by isostatically hot-pressing, in a vacuum tight closed case, at temperatures in the range from about 1400.degree. C. to about 1700.degree. C. under a pressure of about 100 to about 300 MPa in a high-pressure autoclave using an inert gas as the pressure transfer medium.
