Abstract: A system for parallel processing of a database query in a multi-core processor is disclosed. The system includes a core database instance and a main database instance. The core database instance includes a local storage manager, a local page manager, and a core stream processing component. The local storage manager is configured to convert a record request into a page request. The local page manager is communicatively connected to the local storage manager and is configured to receive and route the page request. The core stream processing component is communicatively connected to the local storage manager and is configured to send a record request to the local storage manager, process a record stream received from the local storage manager and output a processed record stream.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for searching a data structure is disclosed. A first node on the data structure is examined. A determination is made as to whether the first node is associated with one or more child nodes. When the first node not associated with one or more child nodes, elements within the first node that are located within a defined distance away from a defined location rendered on the first node are identified. The identified elements are stored in a data set. The nodal radius cut-off value is updated if the value is less than a difference of one half a radius of the first node and a distance from the defined location to the center point of the first node. The first node is labeled to indicate that the node has been examined.

Abstract: A system and method provide for the interpretation and augmenting of structured documents electronically delivered to an individual consumer's computer using consumer profiles developed from and maintained with information reflecting the consumer's online and offline transactions, by selecting the variable content alternatives encoded in the structured documents that most closely match the consumer's profile. The consumer profiles are logically controlled by the consumer's computer, thus providing for enhanced security over information that is personal and confidential to the consumer, yet still allowing third parties such as web sites and others electronically delivering structured documents to the consumer to have such documents customized based on the consumer's profile.
