    Abstract: The fiberglass blanket (11) is fed into contact with the adhesively coated surface (18) of the backing sheet (12) and the two layers are adhesively bonded together. Sound emitters (68, 71) vibrate the fiberglass, causing separation of the loose glass from the blanket. A vacuum system (51) draws off and collects the loose fiberglass particles (66), to clean the blanket of loose particles of fiberglass.

A plurality of support beams (25) are attached to the downwardly facing surface (51) of the purlins (12) and support the fire resistant panels (520. The fire resistant panels (52) are mounted to the support beams (25) and arranged in edge-to-edge contact with one another with the side edges (47) and (48) of adjacent fire resistant panels (52) in sealed engagement with one another.
