Abstract: A monitor mounting apparatus includes a base assembly having a first fixed portion and a second rotatable portion that is rotatably coupled to the first fixed portion about a first axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first fixed portion. The apparatus further includes a tensioning mechanism for operably and selectively adjusting frictional resistance to the rotatable coupling between the second rotatable portion and the first fixed portion. The apparatus also includes a monitor mounting plate that is operably coupled to the second rotatable portion of the base assembly, which monitor mounting plate is configured to operably receive display monitors thereto.
