Patent number: 9789436Abstract: A sorbent for CO2 reduction from indoor air from an enclosed space. In some embodiments, the sorbent comprises a solid support and an amine-based compound being supported by the support. The sorbent captures at least a portion of the CO2 within the indoor air. The sorbent may be regenerated by streaming outdoor air through the sorbent to release at least a portion of the captured CO2. The sorbent is structured to allow indoor air to flow therein with relatively low flow resistance and relatively rapid reaction kinetics. Regeneration may be performed at relatively low outdoor air temperatures, thereby minimizing the thermal energy required for regenerating the sorbent.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2016Date of Patent: October 17, 2017Assignee: enVerid Systems, Inc.Inventors: Udi Meirav, Israel Biran

Publication number: 20170056812Abstract: A regenerable air scrubbing system comprises of an air flow assembly with replaceable cartridges arranged in a parallel orientation and designed for easy insertion and removal of the cartridges. The cartridge design enhances the contact area, reduces the pressure drop, and readily allows the design of similar assemblies with different airflow throughputs using the same cartridge, while facilitating easy replacement of the sorbent in the field. The cartridge can be partitioned into smaller compartments, improving the mechanical properties of the cartridge and the uniformity of the sorbent distribution.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2015Publication date: March 2, 2017Applicant: ENVERID SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Udi MEIRAV, Israel BIRAN, Asael MERUHAM, Jacob JACOBI
