Patent number: 10451227Abstract: The present application discloses a string light assembly, such as for example, a string light assembly for task lighting in an industrial or transportation environment. In certain embodiments, an exemplary lighting device includes a length of electrical cable, at least one socket secured to the electrical cable, and at least one cover that encases the socket. The cover is secured to the electrical cable by placing the electrical cable in a through hole of the cover. In addition, the cover comprises a first connection port configured to receive an end of an electric lamp and a sloped surface that extends between a portion of the cover having the through hole and the connection port.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2016Date of Patent: October 22, 2019Assignee: Ericson Manufacturing Co.Inventors: Ronald W. Patent number: 10008352Abstract: A sealed electrical enclosure for housing an electrical component is provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the sealed electrical enclosure includes a housing, a first and second electrical connector, an actuator, and a terminal. The housing has a sealed interior when a top portion is coupled to a bottom portion. The first electrical connector extends from the sealed interior through the bottom of the housing and is electrically coupled to the electrical component. The actuator extends from the sealed interior through the housing and is configured to manipulate the electrical component. The terminal is electrically coupled to the second electrical connector. The second electrical connector is configured to mate with the first electrical connector. The first and second electrical connectors are configured to be connected and disconnected to attach and remove the housing to and from the terminal.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2016Date of Patent: June 26, 2018Assignee: ERICSON MANUFACTURING CO.Inventor: Ron Hughes

Patent number: 9001477Abstract: An open neutral protection method and apparatus including a blocking diode arrangement to prevent connection of power in circuits when the power source has an open neutral. In particular, when more than one branch circuits are connected to a power supply with more than one hot power lines, blocking diodes prevent back feed currents from activating relays connecting the power source to the branch circuits when the power source has an open neutral.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2012Date of Patent: April 7, 2015Assignee: Ericson Manufacturing Co.Inventor: Ronald W. Patent number: 5567174Abstract: A water tight connector has a strain relief using a circumferential clip about a cable and held in position within a hollow tubular section of a connector housing. The clip is prevented from being removed from the connector housing by a resilient grommet, thus holding the cable from being pulled out from the connector housing; and the grommet provides both fluid sealing functions and secondary cable holding functions. The connector may be filled with a grease. The grease may have anti-bacterial characteristics. The connector may be filled with an hygroscopic material, such as an encapsulant.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1994Date of Patent: October 22, 1996Assignee: The Ericson Manufacturing Co.Inventors: John E.
