Abstract: A method of allocating sidelink radio resources to a group of vehicles, in a telecommunication network, wherein vehicles within said group of vehicles intent to use said sidelink radio resources for vehicle-to-vehicle, V2V, communication, said method comprising the steps of receiving, by a V2V control entity residing in, or accessible via, a core network of said telecommunication network, a resource request, from said group of vehicles, for requesting radio resources to be used for said V2V communication, determining, by said V2V control entity, radio resources to be used for said V2V communication, transmitting, by said V2V control entity, to said group of vehicles, a resource grant comprising said determined radio resources.

Abstract: In an apparatus for generating a transmit sequence comprising information from a plurality of information channels, a first means serves for generating a plurality of different candidate channel sequences from information of a first information channel of the plurality of information channels using a first code sequence associated with the first information channel, wherein each candidate channel sequence carries the same information as the information of the first information channel. A second means is provided to provide at least one candidate channel sequence for a second information channel from the plurality of information channels using a second code sequence associated with the second information channel and differing from the first code sequence. To receive an optimum transmit sequence resulting in a minimum out-of-band radiation combined sequences are examined, wherein each combined sequence may be obtained by a combination of at least one candidate channel sequence from each information channel.
Abstract: A technique is provided for use by a Multi-Radio Management Resource (MRRM) component of a multi-radio wireless communication system for controlling the handover of a mobile terminal between different radio access technologies (RAT). In one example, all suitable RATs having coverage areas currently covering the location of a mobile terminal are identified. The performance gain that might be achieved via a handover to one of the other RATs is then determined by the MRRM based on various performance gain factors. Handover costs that will be incurred as a result of the handover are also explicitly calculated. Then, a cost-adjusted gain is determined by the MRRM based on the performance gain and the handover costs. A handover is only triggered by the MRRM if the cost-adjusted gain exceeds a minimum threshold. The speed and trajectory of the mobile terminal may also be considered.
