Abstract: A restraining device for engaging an ICC bar on a truck including a base, a pivotal deck mounted on the base, a first hydraulic motor for raising the deck into engagement with the ICC bar, a hydraulic circuit responsive to an increase in hydraulic pressure in the first hydraulic motor for actuating a second hydraulic motor mounted on the deck to cause a pair of hands to engage the ICC bar and apply a force biasing it and the truck on which it is mounted toward a building wall.

Abstract: A dock leveler including a base frame, a deck having its inner side pivotally mounted on the base frame and having a lip pivotally mounted on its outer side, mechanism for raising and lowering the deck, and a fluid circuit and associated linkage for raising the lip in response to raising the deck and for lowering the lip in response to lowering the deck, the fluid circuit including a first piston and cylinder unit connected between the base frame and the deck, a second piston and cylinder unit connected between the deck and the lip, and a conduit coupling the first and second piston and cylinder units so that fluid is pumped from the first piston and cylinder unit to the second piston and cylinder unit during raising of the deck to raise the lip and the reverse is experienced during the lowering of the deck to lower the lip.

Abstract: A combined dock seal and shelter consisting of a pair of spaced side members each having a side pad with a compressible foam core and a flap member having a portion attached to the outer surface of each side pad with each of the flap members having an overhanging portion extending inwardly toward each other beyond the side pads, each of the side pads having a longitudinal axis and the flap members having a greater resistance to bending about the longitudinal axes than the resistance which the cores have to compression so that the flap members are distorted less than the side pads are compressed when the flap members are deflected by a truck, and a bellows seal construction fixedly secured between the bottoms of the overhanging portions of the flap members and a building wall to provide sealing in this area.
Abstract: An overlapping strip-curtain construction for mounting on an elongated rod including a plurality of elongated flexible strip members each having an upper end and a lower end, a plurality of loops formed at each upper end of each strip member as integral extensions of the elongated body portion, spaces between the loops, with the body portions of adjacent strip members being in overlapping relationship with each other across their widths and with certain of the loops of each of the strip members being located in certain of the spaces of adjacent strip members.
