Patents Assigned to Esselte Meto International GmbH
  • Patent number: 4745695
Abstract: An information carrier holding rail (10) which comprises a rear wall (18) and a transparent front wall (12) connected to the rear wall (18) to form an upwardly open pocket. The rear wall (18) and the front wall (12) engage on each other under stress. At the edge of the front wall (12) remote from the connection point (16) between the front wall (12) and the rear wall (18) a grip element (14) projecting from the front wall (12) is disposed.

  • Patent number: 4744295
Abstract: A printing mechanism is described comprising a plurality of type carriers (12, 34) which on their outer peripheral face carry in one region printing types and in another region indicator types (44). The printing types can be brought by turning the type carriers (12, 34) into a printing position. A setting means (32, 20, 24) including an actuating knob (32) can be brought into a drive connection with each of the type carriers (12, 34) for rotation thereof. Stop means (100, 102, 104, 106, 110) limit the turning travel of the type carriers (12, 34). With a detent moment governed by their spring hardness resilient detent elements (96) hold the actuating knob (32) against a rotation relatively to the type carrier (12, 34) in drive connection with the setting means (32, 20, 24), the detent moment being greater than the torque necessary to rotate the type carriers (12, 34).

  • Patent number: 4739848
Abstract: A bathroom scale has a load receiving platform (1) on which a user can stand and display means (8). Weight on the platform (1) is transferred to a stainless steel force plate (3) mounted on a base member (2) and having double encastred beams (42) formed by cutouts (43). The beams (42) are supported on knife edge support members (52), and a plurality of piezo electric strain gauges (44 to 47) are screen printed on an insulating coating on the beams (42) of the force plate adjacent the positions at which the force plate is supported on the support members (52). Deformation of the beams (42) as a result of weight on the platform (1) produces electrical signals which are summed to form a composite load signal and the display means (8) displays the composite load signal as a weight reading.Summing the electrical signals from the strain gauges electrically, avoids many of the disadvantages and errors associated with scales which utilize a mechanical linkage to sum weight components.

  • Patent number: 4726290
Abstract: An endless printing band (1) consists preferably of rubber or synthetic rubber and in its production is cut from a hose-like blank by cuts extending along its edge. Said printing band (1) has in the one region of its outer side visually readable characters (3) and in an opposite region laterally inverted raised printable characters (5). In the region of the readable characters (3) on the inner side (11) of the printing band (1) inwardly projecting cams (6) are provided for the advance of the band while the inner side (7) of the region comprising the printable characters (5) is smooth.

  • Patent number: 4724034
Abstract: A labeling device is described with the aid of which self-adhering labels (6) can be imprinted, dispensed and attached to articles. The device includes a printing mechanism (16) having printing types (27) and a means for inking the printing types which includes a pivot member (21) rotatably mounted about a pivot pin (22) and an inking roll (26) which is connected to said member (21) and which prior to each printing operation by pivoting of the pivot member (21) is rolled along the printing types (27) for transferring ink. The inking roll (26) is mounted in an inking roll holder (25) which is adapted to be fitted onto the pivot member (21) in a direction extending radially with respect to the pivot axis (22) of the pivot member (21). At the contact face between the inking roll holder (25) and the pivot member (21) detent means (35, 36) are disposed which secure the inking roll holder (25) in the fitted position on the pivot member (21).

  • Patent number: 4679500
Abstract: A printing mechanism (10) includes a plurality of setting wheels (16) which are rotatably mounted about a common axis and with which endless printing bands (20) are in drive connection which carry in a region of their length at the outer surface printing types (22) and in another region of their length carry at the outside indicating types (24). The printing bands (20) are led round the setting wheels (16) and a deflection edge (18) spaced therefrom. By turning the setting wheels (16) said bands are adjustable. In another region of their length they are provided at the inner surface with teeth (50) for engaging in corresponding recesses (52) in the setting wheels. A setting shaft (42) carrying an actuating knob (48) can be brought into a drive connection with the setting wheels (16).
