Abstract: Air filtration, in particular in cooking appliances, such as for example deep fryers. In particular, an odorless lid suitable for any container that allows odors or volatile compounds to escape and more particularly for any food cooking appliance, the odorless lid comprises a filtering material of particles having a core-shell structure, wherein the activated carbon core is surrounded by a shell of a mesoporous sol-gel material based on functionalized or nonfunctionalized silica.
