    Abstract: A bolt assembly which includes four bars each cooperating with the corresponding edges of a closure wherein at least one of the horizontal bars is in the form of a hollow body having oppositely oriented slide elements resiliently mounted therein so that their free ends are urged against the ends of the adjacent vertical bars so as to prevent the formation of a gap in the joint between the horizontal and vertical bars in both their retracted and locked positions.
