Publication number: 20230404835Abstract: A lock assembly for use with an inversion apparatus includes a ratchet plate, a position lock pawl, and a safety lock pawl. The ratchet plate is operatively connected to a first tube portion and is accessible through a slot in a second tube portion of the inversion apparatus' securing assembly. The position lock pawl is pivotally connected to the second tube portion to selectively engage the ratchet plate through the slot. The safety lock pawl is pivotally connected to the second tube portion. The safety lock pawl does not engage the position lock pawl when the user support is in the loading position and is configured and arranged to pivot relative to the second tube portion as the user support moves from the loading position into the inverted position to engage the position lock pawl.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 9, 2022Publication date: December 21, 2023Applicant: Expectations, LLCInventors: Nicholas M. Soller, Christopher H. Leier, Darrin M. Swagel, Ryan B. Keehnel

Patent number: 11633643Abstract: A rowing exercise apparatus has a linkage assembly that is provided in two boxes. One box includes a forward frame member, a crank rotatably mounted on the forward frame member, and a forward portion of a seat supporting link operatively connected to the crank. Another box includes a rearward frame member, a rocker link pivotally mounted on the rearward frame member, and a rearward portion of the seat supporting link operatively connected to the rocker link. The linkage assembly is made suitable for use by rigidly connecting the two frame members to one another and by rigidly connecting the two portions of the seat supporting link to one another. At least one bracket is rigidly interconnected between the two portions of the seat supporting link. One such bracket is welded onto a rearward end of the forward portion of the seat supporting link to underlie and directly support a proximate end of the rearward portion of the seat supporting link.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2021Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: Expectations, LLCInventors: Christopher H. Leier, Nicholas M. Soller

Patent number: 11491363Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a resistance device including left and right sheaves and associated rewind mechanisms. Left and right cords are routed from the sheaves through left and right swivel pulleys to left and right force receiving members. A person stands on a foot platform and exercises by using her arms and/or her legs to pull the cords from the sheaves. The person may stabilize herself by placing one or both hands on handlebars when those hands are not involved in the pulling activity.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2020Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Assignee: Expectations, LLCInventors: Rylie Teeter Leier, Nicholas M. Patent number: 11452906Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a user supporting member having a beam member at one end and a U-shaped member at an opposite end. At least one bracket is rigidly interconnected between the beam member and the U-shaped member. One such bracket is welded onto a middle portion of the U-shaped member to underlie and directly support a proximate end of the beam member. At least one bolt extends through the beam and the bracket to establish a rigid connection therebetween. In a preferred application, a seat is mounted on the user supporting member, and the user supporting member is part of a linkage assembly operatively connected to a frame to move the seat through at least one elliptical path.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2021Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: Expectations, LLCInventors: Christopher H. Leier, Nicholas M. Soller
