Abstract: A device, a system, and a method for intubation are disclosed. The intubation device includes a handle disposed at a proximal end of the intubation device, a guiding tip having a camera disposed at a distal end of the intubation device, an inter-trachea tube connecting the handle and the guiding tip. The camera is configured to guide insertion of an intra-trachea tube into a patient, wherein the guiding tip is configured to be inserted inside the intra-trachea tube while the handle remains outside the intra-trachea tube.

Abstract: Airway apparatus and methods of use are provided, in which the airway device includes two balloons, an imaging apparatus, and a visualization device. The device is configured for placement in a patient's esophagus and may be introduced without a laryngoscope using the imaging device, thereby allowing rapid intubation and ventilation.

Abstract: An airway device and method of use are provided, in which the airway device includes a dual lumen airway suitable for use as an endobronchial tube and having a sensor and a sensor monitoring device. In an embodiment of the device, the airway device includes imaging apparatus, optionally textured balloons, and image display device for monitoring the position of the device, thereby facilitating placement of the device and monitoring ability to determine a change in positioning.

Abstract: Apparatus for introducing an airway tube within a patient's trachea, and methods of use, are provided, in which the an elongated rigid bougie includes a light source and imaging system configured to be introduced into a patient's trachea using video images received from the imaging system. Once a distal end of the bougie is visually confirmed to be placed with the patient's trachea, an airway tube is advanced over the bougie. The apparatus also may include two separable components, thereby facilitating video-guided placement of one component in pediatric applications under guidance of video images provided by the second component.

Abstract: Visualization stylets and methods of use are provided, in which the visualization stylets include modular components that allow interchangeability of imaging devices and lenses, and the use of forward-facing or lateral-facing lens orientations. Optionally, the lens may be focused remotely. A reduced insertion profile is provided by configuring the circuitry of the imaging device so that it is disposed substantially perpendicular to a plane of a pixel array of the imaging device.
