Abstract: A first hub having a first outer diameter and a second outer diameter that is larger than the first outer diameter defining a shoulder. A second hub having a first outer diameter and a second outer diameter that is larger than the first outer diameter defining a shoulder. Each hub receiving a corresponding shaft within a bore, the shafts being spaced apart and parallel. A pair of support discs hold a scoring disc having an aperture adapted for fitting over one of the hubs. The scoring disc has a raised profile that stands proud of the support discs. A grooved disc has a bore that is received on another of the hubs. The grooved disc includes a circumferential groove for receiving the raised profile when the scoring disc is aligned opposite the circumferential groove.

Abstract: A paper perforating assembly which is designed for use in micro-perforating. The assembly includes a micro-perf cutter blade which is attached to a rotatable shaft of a perforating machine. The assembly also includes a cutting ring assembly attached to a second rotatable shaft of the machine. The cutting ring is preferably backed by a soft biasing member carried in a channel of the ring assembly and allows the ring to float which compensates for concentricity problems during perforating.

Abstract: An adhesive binding machine which is for gluing the covers to the collated pages of the books and which includes a cutter for trimming the edges of the pages, a glue pot for applying glue to the cut edges, a nipper for pressing a cover to the glued edges of the pages and pinching it around the pages.
