  • Patent number: 8066604
Abstract: The chain comprises a plurality of external links (2), each defined by a pair of parallel external plates (4, 5) and by two rotation pivots (6) interpositioned between the two external plates (4, 5). The chain also comprises a plurality of internal links (3), each defined by a pair of parallel internal plates (7, 8) and by two bushes (9) interpositioned between the plates and each internal link (3). Each of the rotation pivots (6) is inserted coaxially in a bush (9) and so defines an alternated succession of external links (2) and internal links (3) and defines with the bush (9) a spherical coupling surface. The chain also comprises anti-rotation elements (12) for reducing a possibility of rotation with respect to an alignment direction of each pair of adjacent links (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 7895914
Abstract: A command device for a bicycle gear change, comprising: a rotating drum (2) provided with a rotation axis (x) and being predisposed to rotate in opposite directions in order to wind at least a portion of a change-activating cable (3) on a lateral surface of the rotating drum (2); means for rotating, predisposed on command to rotate the rotating drum (2) in opposite directions according to predetermined angular steps; means for retaining predisposed to hold the rotating drum (2) in a position in absence of commands made to the means for rotating. The rotation axis (x) of the rotating drum (2) is perpendicular with respect to an advancement direction of the bicycle, that is, parallel to the rotation axis of the front wheel of the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 7549662
Abstract: The bicycle gear mechanism, in particular a rear wheel change mechanism, comprises a derailleur provided with a drive chain guide element. The derailleur comprises: an arm (2); a first attachment element (5), rotatingly constrained to the arm (2) by a first shaft (3), the first attachment element (5) being predisposed to connect the arm (2) to the bicycle frame; a second attachment element (6), rotatably constrained to the arm (2), the second attachment element (6) being predisposed to connect the arm (2) to an element (7) predisposed to guide the drive chain (30) of the bicycle; a mechanism predisposed to rotatingly connect the first shaft (3) and the second shaft (4); at least an actuator, operatively connected to the arm (2) and the bicycle frame, which actuator is predisposed to rotate the arm (2) about the first shaft (3).

  • Publication number: 20070238563
Abstract: A derailleur (10) is predisposed to translate a drive change (11) between at least two gears (12) rotating about a rotation axis (y). The derailleur (10) is mobile in one direction in rotation with respect to the bicycle frame by action of a cable (14) which by command is made to exert a traction force. In an opposite direction the derailleur (10) rotates, also by action of the cable (14), which is loosened by command, and by action of elastic means. The gear change comprises a retaining device (2) predisposed to maintain the derailleur (10), in absence of a command, in a predetermined angular position. The retaining device (2) comprises a fixed portion and a mobile portion. The fixed portion is associable to the bicycle frame, the mobile portion is solidly associable to the derailleur (10). The fixed portion, in determined angular positions of the derailleur (10), removably connects to the mobile portion.

  • Patent number: 4655266
Abstract: A beverage vending machine having a cup magazine for delivery of cups individually to a readiness position for receiving a metered amount or quantity of a beverage ingredient, either in liquid or solid form, for formulation of a beverage. A metering device in the form of a metering slide valve delivers a metered quantity to individual cups successively. The slide valve has a valve gate that is provided with a metering space, formed as a through opening, for cyclical registry with an open lower opening of a receptacle containing the beverage ingredient. The slide valve is operated to deliver the metered quantity to a cup delivered from a cup magazine. The cup with the beverage ingredient is delivered via a chute to an access recess in the machine at which a liquid is added to the cup to formulate the beverage mixture. A mixer mixes the formulated beverage mixture.
