Abstract: The invention provides shoes for the elderly and disabled that are easy to put on and remove, that fit comfortably, and that are fashionable. This invention is a shoe with a slide fastener that zips open horizontally along the edge of the upper, with the upper being detachable along the edge of the outsole from the outside of the ankle to the base of the big toe, and with a slide fastener that is attached horizontally along the edges of the upper and the outsole from the base of the big toe to the outside of the ankle. Fastening tapes A and C (hook strips) are attached at the pull-tab of the slide fastener and the edge of upper, respectively, and second fastening tape (loop strip) is attached at the quarter in line with the other hook strips. A composite of polychloroprene rubber foam glued together with synthetic fabric is used as material for the upper. An ornamental design made of the same material as the upper, but in different color and texture, is attached to the upper.
