  • Patent number: 4982084
Abstract: When a pulse encoder is attached to a motor, first a stationary coded plate (20) is temporarily held on one end (18) of a motor housing (12) to modify a deviation thereof during a rotation of the motor housing (12) around an output shaft (14) of the motor, then a gauge (50) is interposed between said stationary coded plate (20) and a rotary coded plate (48) to separate them from the other by a prescribed distance, and next the output shaft (14) is rotated relative to the motor housing (12) to modify a deviation of the rotary coded plate (48) temporarily fixed to the sleeve member (42). According to the above method, the pulse encoder is accurately and efficiently attached to the motor.

  • Patent number: 4976602
Abstract: A motor-operated die clamp mechanism produces a great clamping force even with use of small-output motors, and is adapted for use in a motor-operated injection-molding machine. Screw portion (13a, 13b), threaded reversely to each other, are formed on a ball screw (13) which is rotated by a motor (15). Ball nuts (11, 12), which are threadedly engaged with the screw portions (13a, 13b), respectively, and a movable wedge (6) are coupled to one another links (9, 10). As the motor rotates, the links contract or spread, thereby advancing or retreating the movable wedge with a great force. When the movable wedge advances, it is engagedly pressed against a fixed wedge (5) formed on the mold base (4) of a die (3), thereby causing the die to be fixedly mounted on a stationary board (1) or a movable board (2).

  • Patent number: 4818848
Abstract: An automatic wire connecting apparatus of a wire cut electric discharge machine performs automatic connection of a wire electrode smoothly and reliably. A wire processing unit (90) integrally rotatably coupled to a rotating shaft (61) of a pneumatic motor (60) has a nozzle forming portion (12) which defines a slit (S) that allows a wire electrode (W) to pass therethrough when it is opened, and which defines a nozzle hole (125) capable of fitting with an upper wire guide (12) when it is closed, and is selectively positioned at a wire insertion position or an escape position by a rotary stopper (150). When the wire electrode is broken, the wire processing unit is rotated from the escape position to the wire insertion position by a motor, and thereafter, the nozzle hole forming portion is closed, thereby holding the wire electrode guided through the slit during a rotating operation in the nozzle hole.

  • Patent number: 4571687
Abstract: The present invention increases screw cutting accuracy and simplifies the control of a screw cutting control system which performs screw cutting through the use of a numerically-controlled machine tool. A tapper (TPP) connected to a spindle, holds a tap (TAP) in a manner to be movable in the axial direction of the spindle, transmits the rotation of the spindle to the tap (TAP) for a predetermined range of forward axial movement of the tap (TAP) and transmits the rotation of the spindle to the tap (TAP) when the spindle is reversed. During screw cutting, feed by a feed motor (SZ) stops after the tap (TAP) enters a workpiece and the screw cutting is effected by the thrust of the tap itself resulting from the rotation of the spindle. The sequence of screw cutting is commanded by one block of command data.
