Patents Assigned to Far Eastone Telecommunications, Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 6853845
Abstract: This is a method and system for determining an enhanced cell coverage locating a mobile terminal in a cellular mobile communication system. The overall range of the mobile communication system is divided into a plurality of pixels, and then a pixel map including all pixels is constructed. One antenna with a shortest distance to each pixel is set as a serving antenna, and the nearest antenna to a pixel is found. This pixel then belongs to the cell of this antenna, in which the distance therebetween is smallest and all pixels belonging to a cell constitutes a pixel coverage of this cell. A rectangular area is then constructed covering the pixel coverage, and a smallest circle cover this rectangular area is constructed as the enhanced cell coverage of the antenna. Thereby, the system provider may provide require information to the mobile terminal in that coverage.

Abstract: The invention provides an authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) a system and method for a plurality of wireless local area networks (WLANs) operated by a plurality of WLAN operators comprising a mobile communications device connecting to a terminal comprising an Internet access application program for accessing the Internet, a personal identification number (PIN) application program, and a unique identifier application program. An Internet access session is requested from the mobile device by activating the Internet access application program in the terminal. Entry of a PIN is requested by activating the PIN application program in the terminal, wherein the PIN is authenticated.

  • Publication number: 20030190904
Abstract: The invention presents a fuzzy basis function network (FBFN) processing device for the beam pointing error correction of the local multipoint distributed system (LMDS). The beam pointing error caused by wind force can affect the performance of the local multipoint distributed system (LMDS). The correction device uses multi-beam planar array antenna to obtain the signal direction-of-arrival (DOA) of a base station and uses fuzzy basis function network (FBFN) algorithm, which includes thirteen normalized Gaussian membership functions and thirteen rules, to estimate the beam pointing error. The simulation results show that the presented FBFN processing device has better performance in transient response, convergence time and steady state value of the averaged square error than the conventional beam pointing error correction devices.

  • Publication number: 20030139174
Abstract: The invention advantageously provides a mobile common service platform and software in telecommunications systems. A common service platform (CSP) according to the invention is an integrated platform that supports both wireless and landline mobile services and business transactions. A CSP system according to the invention includes a common service platform or CSP for integrating a plurality of applications into a single platform for multiple uses in a plurality of communications systems. The CSP is connected with the plurality of applications and a plurality of users. Multiple users in different communications systems having varied communications protocols can utilize generally the same application (as selected by the users) through the CSP. Requests for uses in different communications system are transferred to the CSP for conversion into generally the same format that is acceptable by a selected application.
