    Abstract: Transparent backup and archiving of video data for one or more Video Management Systems is provided by capturing such data from at least one network used by the VMS(s) using packet capture by one or more taps and associated Streaming Video Capture and Replay System (SVCRS) and without requiring cooperation from or modification to any VMS. By noting the source and destination of data packets, as well as aspects of the content, such as the data type, format, or protocol used, the nature of the devices sending or receiving the data packets can also be determined. For example, it is possible to determine that a sending device is a camera, and a receiving device is a component of a VMS. Using such information, lists of cameras, VMSs, and clients operating over a network can be created, along with associated information, such as their network addresses. In some cases additional information, such as device capabilities or models, API versions and capabilities, and data storage locations used can also be determined.

    Abstract: A user of a mobile device can be authenticated based on multiple factors including biometric data of the user. During an enrollment process of the user, an encryption key is sent to the mobile device via a message. The encryption key is recovered from the message and used to encrypt communications between the mobile device and a server. Biometric data is collected from the user and sent to the server for computing a biometric model (e.g., a voice model, etc.) of the user for later use in authentication. An encrypted biometric model is stored only in the mobile device and the encrypted biometric model is sent to the server for authentication of the user. For authentication, various information including an identification of the mobile device, responses to challenge questions, biometric data including the biometric model, etc. are used at the server.

The called party information is used to provide additional networked services to the calling party such as call-completion, voice messaging, or paging.     Abstract: A surface finish, displacement and contour scanner comprising an arm with a stylus pivotally attached to a housing, and a transducer with a blade attached to the arm and an E-shaped ferrite core mounted to the housing. The arm is biased with the stylus out of the housing. The high permeability blade moves outside of the core, relative to the open faces of the three legs of the core. The blade is a flux carrier changing the coupling between the primary winding and the secondary windings, controlling the secondary windings output signals. The blade has a section adjacent to and completely covering the primary leg face, and two sections adjacent to the secondary leg faces. In the null position, both leg faces are half covered so that the secondary windings outputs are the same. As the stylus moves, the area of one secondary leg face covered by the blade increases as the other decreases, changing the secondary winding output signal in opposite directions.

    Abstract: A system and method of preventing groundwater contamination by a plume of liquid born toxic contaminants that includes establishing a dry barrier between a plume of liquid contaminants and the water table to immobilize the toxic contaminants. The dry barrier is formed by transporting dry gas into the barrier region, such as with injector wells, and then removing it and any moisture it has absorbed, such as with extraction wells to create a layer or bowl shaped structure that is so dry that liquid borne contaminants cannot pass therethrough. By maintaining the barrier, the contaminants form an immobile crust above the barrier which assists in prevention of liquid transport of contaminants into the groundwater. The system is particularly effective when radioactive contaminants are involved because the contaminants can remain fixed and undisturbed underground.

    Abstract: A punch-thru lock assembly for use on safes and vaults and effective to prevent the forceful removal of the cover from the lock so as to preclude unauthorized access from being gained to the inside mechanisms of the lock while the door of the safe or vault is in its closed and locked position. The punch-thru lock assembly includes a spindle having a cam wheel secured thereto by means of a key whereby the cam wheel rotates in unison with the spindle but the key is capable of being defeated so as to free the cam wheel from engagement with the spindle. The lock assembly also includes a cover which is intentionally provided with a weakened portion through which an end of the spindle may be made to pass, when the latter is forcefully removed from the lock assembly being pushed inwardly.
