Abstract: A light assembly is disclosed which can include an LED array and a reflector. The LED array can include a plurality of LEDs which are disposed such that each LED is substantially aligned to define a focal axis. Each LED can emit light substantially along an optical output axis, with each optical output axis being perpendicular to the focal axis. The optical output axis of the LED array can be disposed in intersecting relationship with the reflector surface. The reflector can be defined by a curve section defined with respect to a principal axis. The principal axis and the output axis of the LED array can be in non-parallel relationship with each other. The optical output axis of the LED array can be substantially perpendicular to the principal axis of the curve section of the reflector.
Abstract: A light assembly is disclosed which can include one or more light emitting diodes and a reflector. The reflector includes a reflective surface and is positioned to reflect at least a portion of the light emitted by the light emitting diode. The reflector further includes a pair of flanking planar reflective surfaces. The flanking planar reflective surfaces can be positioned at a distance one half the predetermined distance between two light emitting diodes, and can simulate an extended length of the reflector.
Abstract: An example system configured to determine a status of a parking space includes an RFID reader, and at least one RFID tag positioned at the parking space. The RFID reader interrogates the RFID tag. The RFID reader determines that the parking space is unoccupied when the RFID reader receives a response from the RFID tag. The RFID reader determines that the parking space is occupied when the RFID reader fails to receive the response from the RFID tag.
Abstract: A lane position detection system includes one or more RFID tags positioned at stationary locations along a traffic lane, and an RFID reader positioned and oriented near the traffic lane to interrogate the one or more RFID tags. A vehicle can be detected in the traffic lane when the RFID reader fails to receive a response from at least one of the RFID tags.
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a dust extraction system including an array of two or more centrifugal dust removal devices, e.g., axial cyclones. The array of axial cyclones is configured to operate in parallel. The array of axial cyclones includes one or more sensor and a controller in communication with the sensor and adapted to receive air flow information from the one or more sensor. Inflow valves are operatively connected to the controller such that air flow through the array of axial cyclones is monitored and maintained at an optimum operating condition for each of the individual cyclones in the array. This is done, in general, by opening inflow valves as the air flow increases above a predetermined air flow value and shutting inflow valves as air flow decreases below the predetermined air flow value threshold.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to debris collection devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a debris collection vehicle utilizing a side broom having memory recall functionality.

Abstract: Devices for restraining tubular segments and methods for storing and accessing tubular segments may include a frame arrangement that has a plurality of parallel cradles for holding tubular segments and movable restraining handles for securing the tubular segments. A spring retention assembly may also be provided that has a spring force to hold the restraining handles against the tubular segments. A vehicle can be equipped to have a device for storing and accessing tubular segments, wherein the device is movable between a storage position and an access position.
Abstract: A vehicle tracking system and method of tracking vehicles in multiple traffic lanes is disclosed. One system includes an RFID reader including a plurality of antenna ports. The system also includes a first antenna connected to a first antenna port of the plurality of antenna ports, the first antenna oriented toward a first lane of traffic. The system further includes a second antenna connected to the first antenna port and oriented toward a second lane of traffic. The system also includes a third antenna connected to a second antenna port of the plurality of antenna ports, the third antenna oriented toward the first lane of traffic. In some cases, the RFID reader is configured to detect the existence of a vehicle in a lane based on detection of an RFID device associated with the vehicle at two or more of the plurality of antenna ports.

Abstract: Lighting apparatus, systems and methods are disclosed. One lighting apparatus includes a light source, a power source in electrical communication with the light source, and a power button arranged to control electrical flow from the power source to the light source. The lighting apparatus also includes a programmable circuit in electrical communication with the power button, where the programmable circuit is programmed to set predetermined flash patterns for illuminating the light source in response to detecting a predetermined sequence of actuations of the power button.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a lighting device that includes an array of LEDs arranged on a circuit board with a reflector that rotates relative to the LEDs to reflect the light in various directions. The reflector according to the present disclosure includes a compact construction that allows for effective light reflection. A related lighting system and method is also provided.

Abstract: A light bar is described that is of a modular construction based on one or more large circuit boards that are populated with light beam assemblies and then fastened to an interior space of the light bar housing. Keys that automatically align the light beam assemblies on each of the boards precisely control placement of the assemblies on the board. In turn, each of the boards is keyed to the interior of the light bar housing so that when the board is fastened to the housing the light beam assemblies are automatically registered into alignment with the lenses in the housing so that the beams from the assemblies are properly oriented. The light bar is inexpensive to fabricate and can be assembled quickly and reliably, yet it provides for a high degree of customization, which is a requirement in the emergency vehicle lighting industry.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a networked system and management console for visualizing, identifying, and handling municipal or other regional events of interest as they arise. The management console is communicably linked via a wide area wireless network and/or other network or communications facilities to a number of data sources (e.g., contamination sensors) and management resources (e.g., alarms, traffic control devices, etc.). The management console provides, in embodiments of the invention, a simple and clear picture of the current health of a monitored area, such as a municipality, being, and provides an interface for responding to incoming data.
