Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for resolving a risk associated with a shipped physical object. The methods and servers comprise associating a time with a geographical region. The methods and servers also comprise receiving a set of locations associated with transport of a physical object. In addition, the methods and servers comprise determining that the set of locations fails to satisfy a condition associated with the time and the geographical region. The sensor devices report location data to a server at a first time interval, wherein the location data fails to satisfy a condition associated with a time and a geographical region. The sensor devices also receive an indication of a panic mode. In addition, the sensor devices also report location data to the server at a second time interval, wherein the second time interval is different than the first time interval.

  • Patent number: 11134123
Abstract: A dynamically transitioning system for monitoring a shipping container transported by a transit vehicle for an environmental anomaly has ID nodes within the container (at least some being associated with objects being transported), a command node on the container, and an external master node at a known location on the vehicle. The command node operates as a primary monitor for the anomaly by monitoring signal activity from the ID nodes; identifying the anomaly based upon the signal activity; generating a layered alert notification that identifies a targeted mediation recipient and mediation action, and establishes a mediation response priority; and transmits the notification to an external transceiver on the transit vehicle to initiate a mediation response for the mediation action. The command node dynamically instructs the external master node to temporarily operate as the primary monitor when the command node is within a threshold distance from the external master node's location.

  • Patent number: 11122126
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for monitoring, detecting, and initiating a response to an environmental anomaly within a shipping container of packages involves sensor-based ID nodes, a command node and an external transceiver on a transit vehicle. Each ID node generates and broadcasts sensor data on environmental conditions proximate the respective ID node within the shipping container. The command node detects the sensor data from each ID node and compares it with locally maintained context data (an environmental threshold condition) for that ID node to detect the environmental anomaly when sensor data exceeds a respective threshold condition. The command node then generates a layered alert notification related to the environmental anomaly identifying a targeted mediation recipient and targeted mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority.

  • Patent number: 11096009
Abstract: Motion-based management of a logistics container uses elements of a wireless node network including a container node associated with the logistics container and equipped with a motion sensor. The motion sensor detects a motion status (e.g., moving, stationary, accelerating, decelerating) for the logistics container. The container node compares the motion status to a prior motion status, and then identifies a changed motion condition for the logistics container based upon the comparison. In response to the changed motion condition, the container node alters a broadcast profile used by the container node in communicating with other nodes in the wireless node network. The container node may be deployed as an apparatus within a logistics container, be considered together with the logistics container as a motion sensing container node apparatus, and be considered with multiple package ID nodes as a motion-based management system for the logistics container.

  • Patent number: 11075994
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods detect and respond to environmental anomalies in a shipping container on a transit vehicle having an external transceiver. Systems generally have wireless ID nodes at different locations within the container and a command node mounted to the container. The command node is programmatically adapted to selectively assign a subset of the ID nodes as dedicated monitor beacons deployed within the container, identify an unresponsive group from the assigned subset of the ID nodes monitored to be in an unanticipated state of ceased broadcasting based upon the monitoring step. The command node detects the environmental anomaly when a size of the unresponsive group in the assigned subset of ID nodes exceeds a threshold setting maintained by the command node, automatically generates an alert notification related to the detected environmental anomaly, and initiates a mediation response for the anomaly by transmitting the alert notification to the vehicle's transceiver.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems are described for monitoring at least one signal passing through a coupling connection from a first conveyance to a second conveyance, where the coupling connection has a network device that communicates on a wireless node network. Generally, the network device (e.g., an ID node) integrated in the coupling connection monitors the signal line passing through the coupling connection from the first conveyance to the second conveyance.
