Patents Assigned to FEV Group GmbH
  • Patent number: 11939895
Abstract: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine, comprising an intake path, a crankcase, an exhaust gas path and a crankcase ventilation means, wherein the crankcase ventilation means is open, closed or separate. The internal combustion engine according to the invention comprises an intake path, a crankcase, an exhaust gas path and an open crankcase ventilation means, wherein the open crankcase ventilation means comprises a first line and a second line, wherein the first line is designed to connect the exhaust gas path to the crankcase in order to guide exhaust gas out of the exhaust gas path to the crankcase, and wherein the second line is designed to connect the crankcase to the exhaust gas path in order to discharge exhaust gas and leakage gases located in the crankcase from the crankcase and to feed them to the exhaust gas path.

  • Patent number: 11796336
Abstract: A method for determining routes for test drives of autonomous vehicles, wherein a plurality of test features are to be encountered or avoided on the routes. The method includes determining a geographical area in which a test drive is to take place, determining a starting point, determining a destination point, determining the plurality of test features, which are relevant for the test drive, creating a logical expression which places the plurality of test features in a logical relationship to one another, determining, at least one route which are located within the geographical area, which have the starting point and the destination point and which satisfy the logical expression, using a map material for the area and positions or areas where the plurality of test features are located, and displaying a representation of the determined routes for a user for the purpose of selecting a selected route.

  • Patent number: 11635019
Abstract: A connecting rod for changing a compression ratio of an internal combustion engine includes a connecting rod head, a connecting rod pin, and an interlock. The connecting rod pin is supported by an eccentric of the connecting rod at a variable distance within the connecting rod head. The connecting rod head or the connecting rod pin includes a fluid chamber and the eccentric has a projection extending into the fluid chamber. In the alternative, the eccentric delimits a fluid chamber and the connecting rod head or the eccentric has a projection extending into in the fluid chamber. A fluid pressure in the fluid chamber exerts a force on the projection to change the position of the eccentric. In a locking position, the interlock inhibits rotation of the eccentric relative to the connecting rod head and the interlock is configured to be releasable.
