Abstract: A glove box assembly for a dashboard of a motor vehicle has two glove box compartments adjacent to one another and associated with respective doors movable between an open position and a closed position; the glove box assembly has two retaining devices each associated with a relative door and releasable by manually operating respective control elements, which are both borne on one of the two doors; to open the other door, a transmission transmits the release command when the first door is in the closed position.
Abstract: A loading shelf for a luggage compartment of a vehicle has one rear panel and at least one front panel coupled by means of a guide-and-slide device, which has two longitudinal channels, fixed relative to the rear panel, and two front slides and two rear slides, which are carried by the front panel and engage the channels; the rear slides are coaxial along an axis orthogonal to the longitudinal direction in which the front panel may slide; channels have respective openings having position, shape and size so as to let the front slides coming out of the channels; when the front slides are outside of the channels, the front panel is rotatable about the axis of the rear slides.

Abstract: A motor-vehicle door with frameless window includes a door structure, a window pane, slidably mounted on the door structure between a lowered position and a raised position, and a regulating device, for controlling movement of the pane. Connected to the pane is a slider member, which engages a respective guide element mounted on the door structure. Operatively set between the slider member and the pane is an elastically deformable member. In its undeformed condition, the deformable member tends to keep the pane in an out-of-tolerance position, more raised and/or set further back with respect to its correct position of assembly on the slider member. Clamping means are provided for adjusting the position of the pane on the slider member so as to compensate, during assembly, the deviation from the nominal design position due to the tolerances of the processes of production of the bodies and the windows.
Abstract: An internal-combustion engine for motor vehicles, for example a petrol-fuelled engine or a gas-fuelled engine, is provided with an electronically controlled hydraulic system for variable actuation of the intake valves. The system of variable actuation of the intake valves is governed by an electronic control unit that is programmed for performing at least once, at the start of the life of the engine, an activity of supervision of the functions of self-adaptive control of the air-fuel ratio. The supervision activity is based upon identification of a constant ratio between a delta in the value of the crank angle used by the electronic control unit and the error in the estimation of the air-fuel ratio by the electronic control unit when the system of actuation of the intake valves operates in late-opening mode.

Abstract: A glass supporting assembly for a motor vehicle door with an unframed upper edge is provided with a fixed structure and a frame, which has at least one guide to support and guide a glass and is connectable to the door in such a way as to make it tiltable about a substantially horizontal axis of adjustment; a slot is obtained in a tangential direction in relation to the axis of adjustment in one of either the fixed structure or the frame, and is slidingly engaged by a pin with an axis orthogonal to the tangential direction; the pin is carried by the other of either the fixed structure or the frame, carries a screwed locking nut, and is axially rotatable; the rotational motion of the pin is converted into translational motion by a positioning device to position the pin along the slot.
Abstract: An automotive electrical system for a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine, the automotive electrical system comprising a main electrical power source, a secondary electrical power source, safety critical electrical loads and non-safety critical electrical loads, and an electrical switching device arranged between the main and secondary electrical power sources and at least the safety critical electrical loads and configured to selectively connect at least the safety critical electrical loads to at least one of the main and secondary electrical power sources. The electrical switching device is configured to connect at least the safety critical electrical loads to the auxiliary electrical power source during the cranking of the internal combustion engine and/or when the motor vehicle is coasting with the internal combustion engine off and the main electrical power source is faulty.
Abstract: Described herein is a method for optimizing a plurality of calibration maps for an algorithm of estimation of a control quantity of an internal combustion engine, each of the maps comprising a plurality of calibration values of said control quantity estimated by said algorithm. The optimization method comprises measuring the control quantity, estimating the control quantity, and individually optimizing each calibration map based on the measured control quantity and the estimated control quantity.
Abstract: A wind-stop device for a two-seater convertible comprises a panel provided with means for its removable anchorage behind the backrests of the seats of the automobile, between two roll-hoops anchored to the structure of the automobile, behind the seats. The anchorage means comprise at least one pair of lateral tabs projecting from the panel and designed to be received within guide slits made in the inner sides of the two roll-hoops and at least one blocking tongue projecting at the bottom from the panel and designed to co-operate with a receiving and blocking device in the form of a buckle for safety belts, rigidly connected to the structure of the motor vehicle and having a receiving seat open upwards, set at the top of a wall at the back of the two seats with a release button adjacent to the seat.
Abstract: A system for controlling a vehicle having a brake assembly for exerting braking force on at least one wheel on the basis of a number of control parameters is provided. The system has a vehicle stability control system configured to generate the control parameters as a function of a control quantity associated with the intensity of the braking force to be exerted on the wheels; and a vehicle handling enhancement system configured to calculate, in the presence of cornering acceleration of the vehicle, a reference vehicle yaw rate on the basis of at least the longitudinal velocity of the vehicle and the steer angle of the vehicle, and to adjust the control quantity to zero the difference between the actual yaw rate and the reference vehicle yaw rate.

Abstract: A raisable load shelf for a luggage compartment of a motor vehicle is provided with a panel, which defines an upper surface on which items can be placed and is provided with a handle that a user can grasp to raise or maneuver the load shelf in the luggage compartment; the load shelf has at least two appendages, which are arranged along respective edges of the panel and are hinged to the panel about respective axes parallel to the edges to rotate downwards from a horizontal position to a substantially vertical position in order to reduce a dimension of the load shelf; in the horizontal position, the appendages project horizontally with respect to the panel so as to rest, in use, on respective brackets of the luggage compartment.
Abstract: A method and apparatus to control the pickup on an uphill slope of an automotive vehicle provided with an automatic or robotised gearbox provide the definition of a control strategy of the gear box operation, also according to the gradient of the uphill slope, which is preferably calculated based on a longitudinal acceleration value of the automotive vehicle, and based on the altitude at which the automotive vehicle can be found, which is preferably calculated based on a detected atmospheric pressure value. In this way, it is also possible to consider the reduction in the engine torque due to the reduction in the air density with altitude.
