Abstract: A launch cable assembly for use with an MPO switch and OTDR to test a multi-fiber cable, which includes a mandrel around which is wrapped between twenty-five and two hundred feet of multiple fiber optic strands, where the mandrel and fiber optic strands are housed within a housing, the fiber optic strands are in optical communication with a port in the housing, the fiber optic strands exit the housing from a fiber exit in the housing, and the fiber optic strands terminate in an assembly connector, which is preferably a standard MPO connector.
