  • Patent number: 11939121
Abstract: A zipper carton includes a first panel having an elongated slot extending therethrough, the slot having a length extending between opposing ends. A locking panel assembly includes a removable zipper tear strip and a locking tab having a linear length that is greater than the length of the slot. The locking tab includes a base projecting from the removable zipper tear strip and a first retention flap projecting from the base and being foldable relative to the base. The locking tab is configured so that when the first retention flap is folded from a relaxed position to a folded position, at least a portion of the locking tab including the first retention flap can be slid through the slot and after the first retention flap passes through the slot, the retention flap automatically resiliently rebounds at least partially toward the relaxed position so as to block retraction of the locking tab from the slot.

  • Patent number: 10793338
Abstract: A rack for holding flat panels containing PCM while the flat panels are conditioned and a method of conditioning the flat panels. The rack includes a frame structure defining an interior through which a conditioning air flow is directed. The interior includes a plurality of vertically spaced shelves for supporting the flat panels in a vertically spaced apart arrangement. The shelves are configured to hold the flat panels with at least a majority of their upper and lower surfaces in contact with the conditioning air flow. A conditioning method includes arranging the flat panels in a spaced apart array in the rack to create air flow channels between adjacent surfaces of the flat panels. Air is circulated between and in contact with the flat panels at a first temperature sufficient to bring the temperature of the PCM in each flat panel at least closer to a required temperature range.

  • Patent number: 10577144
Abstract: An attachable panel assembly includes a replacement panel having a mounting panel and a closure panel projecting from the mounting panel. The closure panel has an attachment portion and a removable zipper tear strip disposed between the attachment portion and the mounting panel. The panel assembly also includes a first adhesive layer disposed on the mounting panel and a second adhesive layer disposed on the attachment portion of the replacement closure panel, the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer being disposed on opposing sides of the replacement panel. A resealable carton system includes the panel assembly attached or attachable to a carton body of a carton assembly by means of the first adhesive layer. The carton assembly can be sealed by closing an inner closure panel of the carton assembly and folding the replacement closure panel so that the second adhesive binds to the inner closure panel.

  • Patent number: 10358254
Abstract: A zipper carton assembly for receiving a blinded trial product includes a carton body having an encircling side wall, a floor, and a covering that together bound an inner compartment for receiving the blinded trial product, an adhesive layer disposed on a portion of the covering, and a removable liner covering at least a portion of adhesive layer. The covering includes an inner closure panel that folds into a closed position to selectively cover an access opening to the inner compartment and an opposing outer closure panel that folds over and is secured to a portion of the inner closure panel by means of the adhesive layer. The removable liner covers the adhesive layer until the zipper carton assembly is ready for sealing. The sealed zipper carton assembly can be opened by removing a zipper tear strip formed in a portion of the covering.

  • Patent number: 9721226
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing information relating to the specialized handling of a package, and articles contained within the package. Data relating to a package containing an article that requires specialized handling is associated with a unique identifier and stored in a database. The unique identifier is also included in a machine readable code affixed to the package. A recipient of the package scans the machine readable code using an application downloaded into a mobile device, which extracts the unique identifier from the machine readable code and transmits a request to the database. The database may then identify data stored in the database that relates to the article based on the unique identifier, and transmit the data to the mobile device for display to the recipient. The data may include instructions on how to unpack the package, and how to store or use articles contained within the package.
