  • Patent number: 8667993
Abstract: A hose or duct that is comprised of a rubber, plastic, metal, woven or non-woven textile or composite material is outfitted with a luminescent exterior member. The luminescent exterior member includes a luminescent material. The luminescent exterior member can be incorporated into the manufacture of the hose, or added to and/or around the exterior of the hose after manufacture of the hose. The luminescent exterior member may be wound around the hose in a spiral manner or may run longitudinally along a length of the hose in a single line or multiple lines. The luminescent exterior member may be fixably coupled to the hose with adhesive or molecularly bonded or with an attachment mechanism or the luminescent exterior member may be externally spiraled as a rigid spiral sleeve and thereby removable from the hose and may be reusable.

  • Publication number: 20110041943
Abstract: A transfer hose with two or more lay lines located on the exterior layer of the transfer hose. The lay lines run longitudinally down the length of the hose and are preferably placed at various points along various axes, spread around the outer circumference of the transfer hose. Each lay line may or may not be equidistant from the next lay line. The lay lines include the ability to be marked with a date and/or time of placement in the current position, to allow for the hose to be laid straight and then rotated from one lay line to the next lay line. Rotation of the hose occurs after a predetermined amount of time has passed. The consistent rotation prevents one area of the interior of the hose from breaking down or wearing out from the abrasive slurry being carried inside before any other portion of the hose. The method of rotation allows the entire length and circumference of the hose to be used equally. This method and process of incremental rotation extends the life of the hose life.

  • Patent number: 7818928
Abstract: The present invention relates to a conduit drain for removing liquid condensation in a vertical conduit. Moisture flows down the interior walls of the conduit and collects in a collection lip in the conduit drain. A drain channel is produced around the inner circumference of the conduit drain by the collection lip. The moisture collects within the drain channel and is drawn off into a drain port that is coupled to a drain pipe.

Abstract: A method for training an animal to proceed through an enclosure begins with the act of providing a generally clear or translucent enclosure having a first end, which serves as an entrance and a second end, which serves as an exit. A trainer encourages the animal to enter the entrance and can walk alongside the enclosure allowing the animal to generally observe the trainer to reduce any apprehension and to generally encourage the animal to proceed through the enclosure. Subsequently, the clear or translucent enclosure is replaced with an opaque enclosure once the animal has gained sufficient experience and comfort with the clear and/or translucent enclosure.
