Abstract: A floor panel for forming a floor covering comprises a pair of edges provided with coupling parts allowing to couple two of such floor panels to each other by means of a rotation movement. The coupling parts are realized in the form of a tongue and a groove with locking parts. The groove is bordered by an upper lip and a lower lip which comprises a locking part in the form of an upward-directed locking part. The upward-directed part extends over a height which is more than 0.1 times the thickness of the floor panel.

Abstract: Panels having a decorative surface may include a plate shaped substrate and a top layer, and the top layer may include a paper layer having a printed pattern. A method for manufacturing such panels may involve providing the paper layer with a treatment, including providing the paper layer with an ink receiving substance. The treated paper layer may be provided with at least a portion of the printed pattern by depositing pigment containing inks using a digital inkjet printer. The pigment containing inks may be water-based. The digital inkjet printer may include print heads with nozzles for firing droplets of pigment containing inks onto the treated paper layer. The paper layer may be fed from a roll, printed upon, and rolled back up again. The paper layer, while printing, may be flexible and may be attached to the plate shaped substrate after printing. A layer of thermosetting resin may be applied above the paper layer and the printed pattern.

Abstract: A floor panel with a substrate and a decorative layer of wood veneer with a thickness of 1 millimeter or less and provided on the substrate. The decorative layer is provided on the substrate by means of a glue layer which is situated between the substrate and the decorative layer. The glue layer comprises hard particles with an average particle size which is at least one third of the thickness of the wood veneer. Methods for manufacturing such floor panels are provided.

Abstract: A decor paper or foil for application to panel shaped substrates may include a base layer, an inkjet receiving surface, and a digitally printed pattern. The pattern may be obtained via printing with a single-pass printer. The pattern may include a matrix of a plurality, preferably at least 200, printed ink dots per inch. The matrix, as seen in the width direction of the paper or foil, may be generally uniformly made up with uniformly sized printed ink dots, with the exception of a minority of the area of the printed pattern, in which the matrix may be modified.

Abstract: A method may be provided for manufacturing a floor panel having a substrate and a top layer. The top layer may have a decorative layer that includes a digital print and a transparent or translucent wear layer. The method may involve providing the substrate with the digital print by jetting one or more inks from a set of inks using a digital inkjet printer. The ink may include a binding agent that is present in an amount below 20 percent by weight of the ink. The translucent or transparent wear layer may be laminated on top of the digital print.

The substrate may be a synthetic material board including a filler. The substrate at least at two opposite edges may include coupling means provided in the synthetic material board. The substrate is a polyurethane-based substrate and the transparent thermoplastic layer is polyurethane-based. The floor panel has a length of more than 1.1 meters and has a plurality of reinforcing layers situated outside the center line of the substrate. A reinforcing layer may be provided in combination with the substrate and the top layer.

The ink receiving layer may comprise a binding agent, preferably different from an acrylic copolymer, and/or silica.

The inks may penetrate from the surface into the core of the base paper layer over a depth that is less than 30% of a thickness of the base paper layer.
