  • Patent number: 6628535
Abstract: An electric adapter system includes an adapter including a circuit connected between input and output connection devices respectively connectable with an external power source and a power consuming device. The output connection device is mateable with a connector forming an output member for engaging the power consuming device. The circuit includes a voltage level control device and a feedback device. The voltage level control device supplies an output voltage to the output connection device via positive and negative power terminals. The feedback device includes a plurality of voltage selection lines each having a different electric resistance whereby by selectively connecting one of the voltage selection lines to the negative power terminal, a feedback signal is generated by the feedback device and applied to the voltage level control device for changing the voltage level of the output voltage of the voltage level control device.

  • Patent number: 6548755
Abstract: A power supply adapter with a foldable plug is disclosed. The power supply adapter includes a first casing, a second casing, a rotatable cylinder, a projecting plug, and a lighter connector. A cavity is formed on the front end of the first casing. Two vertical plates are mounted on the second casing for supporting the rotatable cylinder. A lighter connector is connected to the front end of the projecting plug for insertion into a lighter socket. The projecting plug is formed on the front end of the rotatable cylinder and extends from a cavity space defined by the front end of the first casing and the second casing. By rotating the rotatable cylinder, the angle of the projecting plug is changed. A voltage converting circuit is arranged in the adapter for supplying a first and a second output voltage.

  • Patent number: 6126460
Abstract: A safety dual plug structure with a primary plug and a secondary plug mounted to an electrical charger is disclosed. The primary plug is provided with a casing rotatably received in a cavity defined in the charger with two prongs mounted thereto for selectively engaging with a first type wall outlet. The primary plug has first terminal members connected to the prongs and extending beyond the casing for selectively engaging with first contacts of the charger. An interior space is defined in the casing for movably receiving a secondary plug. The secondary plug has two blades selectively extend beyond the casing of the primary plug for engaging with a second type wall outlet. The secondary plug has second terminal members shielded in the casing of the primary plug. Openings are formed on the casing of the primary plug for allowing second, resilient contacts of the charger to extend into the casing and electrically engage the second terminal members when the secondary plug is in use.

  • Patent number: 5967807
Abstract: This invention is an "improved AC/DC electric adapter with the large and small plugs". The main body of the device consists of upper and lower casings; inside the box, there is an electronic converting circuit. In its upper casing, there is an indentation design to hold the large plug; in the large plug, there is a small plug with the rotary pins. The small plug pins can be rotated into the ordinary formation (with the shape of "11") or the two angled formations because there are the following internal designs: two insulating pieces with three guiding holes and push-up pieces (the latter can make the pins mesh with the three guiding holes). Therefore, the small plug pins can be used to draw current from the regular socket or angled pin socket. In addition, its electronic converting circuit can convert the AC into low voltage DC. So, the invention can be used indoors.
