  • Patent number: 5742735
Abstract: A digital adaptive transformation coding method for the transmission and/or torage of audio signals, specifically music signals, wherein N scanned values of the audio signal are transformed into M spectral coefficients, and the coefficients are split up into frequency groups, quantized and then coded. The quantized maximum value of each frequency group is used to define the coarse variation of the spectrum. The same number of bits is assigned to all values in a frequency group. The bits are assigned to the individual frequency groups as a function of the quantized maximum value present in the particular frequency group. A multi-signal processor system is disclosed which is specifically designed for implementation of this method.

  • Patent number: 5615100
Abstract: A resonant inverter comprises a resonant circuit, a source, an electronic switch and a control circuit. In order to permit low loss operation on the basis of a simple circuit structure, the control circuit comprises a voltage detection circuit, a current detection circuit, and a control signal generation circuit connected downstream of the voltage detection circuit and the current detection circuit and used for generating a control signal for the electronic switch, the control signal generation circuit switching the electronic switch to a first switching state when the voltage detection circuit responds and to a second switching state when the current detection circuit responds.

  • Patent number: 5392310
Abstract: A laser apparatus with a laser oscillator and a subsequently connected la intensifier which has an inlet region for the laser beam to be intensified coming from the laser oscillator and an outlet for the intensified laser beam and which is provided with a folding mirror that lies opposite to the inlet region for the laser beam to be intensified. The inlet region for the laser beam to be intensified is an opening in a further folding mirror which is located opposite to the other folding mirror. The outlet for the intensified laser beam likewise is an opening in one of the two folding mirrors. The opening width of the inlet opening and the outlet opening in relation to the mirror surface of the particular folding mirror is small. The cross section of the laser beam inside the laser intensifier is at least partially greater by a multiple than in the region of the inlet opening and outlet opening.
