  • Patent number: 11777903
Abstract: A method transmits data between a vehicle and a traffic security system. A number of transmission channels are available for transmitting data between the vehicle and the traffic security system. Data packets are specified for the transmission to the traffic security system. The transmission quality of the individual transmission channels is measured. A transmission configuration is selected from a plurality of transmission configurations, from the type of data and the ascertained transmission qualities, and other specifications according to a specified set of rules. The transmission configuration specifies particular transmission channels for individual data packets which are associated with a service, possibly as a function of the content of the data packet. An identifier characterizing the transmission configuration is added to the data packets.

  • Patent number: 11431405
Abstract: A method provides packet transmission of data between two terminal devices via at least one flying object. The flying objects are moving within a given swarm of flying objects and the flying objects are disposed in a grid being characterized by a number of flight paths. One flying object from the swarm of the flying objects is determined to be a reference flying object and each of the flying objects is assigned a position. Coordinate values of a receiving flying object within the swarm of the flying objects is derived from a respective data packet being transmitted. A number of sequential single transmissions for a transmittal of data between a transmitting flying object and the receiving flying object is performed. Each single transmission within the swarm of the flying objects occurs only between two respective flying objects which are topologically neighboring and in direct communication with each other.

  • Patent number: 10972421
Abstract: A method and a device detect and reproduce radiotelephony messages emitted by a plurality of transmitters via radio at an air traffic controller workplace. It is analyzed whether a plurality of radiotelephony messages arriving at the air traffic controller workplace overlap one another chronologically, and if they do, one of the radiotelephony messages is prioritized and immediately emitted at the air traffic controller workplace. At least one other radiotelephony message is buffered, and the at least one buffered radiotelephony message is emitted at the air traffic controller workplace after the end of the prioritized radiotelephony message.

  • Patent number: 10896593
Abstract: A system and method are provided for brokering mission critical communication between a sender and a receiver, where the sender provides a message in a first communication medium and the receiver requires or prefers a second communication medium. An interpretation portion reduces the message to essential knowledge data and generates a content descriptive representation, and a routing portion determines a communication media compatibility of the receiver and selectively sets the second communication medium for the message. A mediation portion then adaptively generates a transformed message in the second communication medium so that it is ascertainable to the receiver, and actuates delivery to the receiver. The interpretation portion is trained to identify image objects in an image which are then represented in the content descriptive representation, thereby enabling the mediation portion to generate text or audio content in the transformed message indicating mission critical features within the image content.

  • Patent number: 10492246
Abstract: A method and a communications system for speech communication includes a plurality of workstations and a plurality of radio transmission devices and radio receiving devices. There are control units in the signal path between the workstations and the radio transmission devices and the radio receiving devices. The control units select the speech signals of one of the workstations according to predetermined or predeterminable criteria when there is a simultaneous plurality of operating signals of a plurality of workstations, or overlap the speech signals of a plurality of workstations according to predefined criteria, and transmit the speech signal thus obtained, chosen or overlapped for sending on the radio transmission device. Further, the control units transmit a receiving signal to the workstations connected thereto when the speech signals transmitted from the radio receiving unit are present, and transfer the speech signals to said workstations.

  • Patent number: 10070276
Abstract: A method performs radio communication between a controller and a transport user. A controller creates voice signals which are transmitted via a switching system to a transmitting antenna as a radio signal. The voice signals are received via a receiving antenna and are transmitted to the switching system. A squelch signal is created and indicates whether the signal applied to the receiving antenna contains voice messages. A component of the voice signal emitted by the controller and is received with a time delay, is removed from the received voice signal or is compensated for, and a corrected voice signal is determined. The corrected voice signal is transmitted to the controller, if the squelch signal is present, the signal which is emitted by the controller and does not reach the switching system with a time delay is superimposed on the corrected voice signal and the latter is transmitted to the controller.

  • Patent number: 9628622
Abstract: A system is provided for universal public access communication adaptively integrating disparate modes of communication. At least one operator workstation is linked to a public access point for selective interactive communication with remotely disposed caller units in a plurality of selectable communication modes. A backend processing system for the public access point adaptively generates dynamic operator sessions for the operator workstation with the remote caller units. Each dynamic operator session selectively integrates one or more communication modes to preserve compatibility with external messages transmitted by the remote caller units. A plurality of logic service modules are each executable in the backend processing system for control a portion of the sessions, and corresponding gateways are configured to convert between external messages in the communication modes and internal messages having at least one predetermined format.
