  • Publication number: 20150144442
Abstract: A braking device capable of effectively causing a shearing stress of a magnetorheological fluid to act on both surfaces of the rotation body is provided. The present invention provides a braking device including a first soft magnetic material 1, a coil 3 attached to the first soft magnetic material 1, a second soft magnetic material 2, a activation chamber 4 formed between the first soft magnetic material 1 and the second soft magnetic material 2, and a rotation body 5 provided inside of the activation chamber 4, and a magnetorheological fluid 6 filling a gap between the rotation body 5 and the first soft magnetic material 1 and a gap between the rotation body 5 and the second soft magnetic material 2, wherein the rotation body 5 includes low magnetoresistive parts 5a, 5b made of a soft magnetic material and a high magnetoresistive part 5c in which a magnetic flux is less likely to flow, and the high magnetoresistive part 5c is provided at a portion of the rotation body 5 facing the coil 3.

  • Patent number: 5910567
Abstract: A method for producing a formed product of deproteinized natural rubber latex capable of reducing a content of an allergen in a natural rubber latex material to a level sufficient to keep the latex from being harmful to the human body without decreasing yields of the product and deteriorating formability of the latex. In the method, cleaning removal of a non-rubber content is carried out after each of protein decomposition, prevulcanization and forming. An aqueous alkali solution, ammonia, water containing free chlorine in an amount of 0.005 to 0.02% by weight or alcohol-water mixed liquid containing alcohol in an amount of 5 to 80% by weight is used as cleaning liquid for the cleaning removal. The method is suitably applied to production of a natural rubber product such as a rubber glove, a condom, a catheter, a foam rubber material and the like.

  • Patent number: 5878747
Abstract: A condom prophylactic against AIDS infection coated with acidic polysaccharides is provided which has an antiviral action and a method of the manufacture thereof. The acidic polysaccharides can be polysaccharides, protein-bound saccharides and glycolipids such as extracts from sea-weeds, extracts from Procaryomycota and Eucaryomycota, carrageenan and so on which have acidic groups such as sulfuric acid group in a portion of polysaccharides. A condom is coated with a solution of said acidic polysaccharides, and optionally with a lubricant. AIDS infection can be prevented without side effect by using a condom of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 5622998
Abstract: A depolymerized natural rubber having a number-average molecular weight of from 2,000 to 50,000 obtained by the depolymerization of a deproteinized natural rubber. A process for the preparation of a depolymerized natural rubber comprises dissolving a deproteinized natural rubber into an organic solvent so as to give a concentration of from 1 to 30% by weight and then carrying out air oxidation of the resulting solution in the presence of a metallic catalyst. The depolymerized natural rubber can provide the same physical properties as ordinary vulcanized rubbers, exhibits no odor or color characteristic to natural rubbers and causes no immediate allergy induced by protein.
