  • Patent number: 7986477
Abstract: A driving device is provided and includes: an actuator that includes a driving shaft attached to a piezoelectric element; and a driving signal control unit. The piezoelectric element is expanded and contracted in response to a driving signal. The driving shaft is reciprocated by the expansion and contraction operation of the piezoelectric element to move a driven member that is frictionally engaged with the driving shaft. The driving signal control unit outputs to the piezoelectric element a second driving signal that increases a driving force applied to the driven member and reduces the movement speed of the driven member during a period from the start of the expansion and contraction operation of the piezoelectric element to a predetermined time, as compared to a first driving signal output when the driven member is moved after the period has elapsed.

  • Patent number: 7982882
Abstract: The relative position of a test surface is sequentially changed from a reference position where a surface central axis is aligned with a measurement optical axis such that the measurement optical axis is sequentially moved to a plurality of annular regions obtained by dividing the test surface in a diametric direction. The test surface is rotated on a rotation axis whenever the relative position is changed. Measurement light that travels while being converged by a Mirau objective interference optical system is radiated to the rotating test surface, and a one-dimensional image sensor captures interference fringes at each of a plurality of rotational positions. The shape information of each annular region is calculated on the basis of the captured interference fringes at each rotational position, and the shape information is connected to calculate the shape information of the entire measurement region.

  • Patent number: 7978335
Abstract: In optical tomography measurement using light, the wavelength of which is periodically swept, interference light between reflection light and reference light is split into first interference light and second interference light by a light splitting means. The optical path length of the first interference light and that of the second interference light are adjusted by an interference-light optical path length adjustment means so that they become the same. Further, balanced detection is performed on the first interference light and the second interference light by an interference light detection means.

  • Patent number: 7962029
Abstract: Disclosed is an auto focus system having an auto focus (AF) frame auto-tracking function that detects the image of an object to be tracked as an AF target using a pattern matching process and moves an AF frame indicating an AF target range to the position of the object, thereby tracking the object. When a person's face (face image) is included in the AF frame, the auto focus system having an AF frame auto-tracking function automatically sets the AF frame in an appropriate range so as to correspond to the position and size of the face image. Therefore, even when the size of the face image is changed, it is possible to appropriately track the face and perform focusing on the face.
