Abstract: Sashes and matching frames for windows and glazed doors, of which the shaped sections each consist of at least one inner hollow aluminum shaped section and one outer plastic casing are designed to substantially improve their thermal insulation. The invention provides a two-part hollow aluminum shaped section, the partial shaped sections so formed being separated thermally from each other approximately in the central region of the shaped section and the thermal separation consisting of the plastic of the outer coverings of the two partial shaped sections.
Abstract: A polyurethane integral hard foam construction panel comprises a denser edge zone and a porous core, the surface of the construction panel being enameled, and is used as a roofing plate, in particular as a small format, nailed roof cover plate. For that purpose the invention provides that the polyurethane integral hard foam of the construction panel includes fillers, namely 1 to 65% by weight flame-retardants such as aluminum hydroxide [Al(OH).sub.3 ] and/or Exolite and 1 to 90% slate powder.
Abstract: Enameling of long, bar-shaped objects such as shaped sections for doors and/or windows made of plastic or of plastic coated metals shall be made possible in a simple manner without additional, time-consuming manual operations by means of an apparatus for electrostatically spray-enameling plastic parts in a spray booth while employing a conducting liquid which prior to the enameling process is deposited by spraying on the surfaces of the parts. To that end the invention provides at least one roller conveyor before and after the spray booth, at least one part of the conveyor rollers being driven and the conveyor rollers, which preferably are made of steel, simultaneously acting as current returns and being grounded.
Abstract: A construction board provided with reinforcements such as fibers and bonded together by organic and/or inorganic cementing means such as cement or plastics is made non-combustible by inclusion of additives and without significant degradation of strength to an extent that the combustion class A 2 of DIN (German Industrial Standard) 4102 is observed. Also, and at the same time, the toxicity of the combustion gases is reduced. The invention provides that the construction board includes from 20 to 70% of manganese dioxide (MnO.sub.2).
Abstract: In a process for depositing a coat of paint on wood-cement boards manufactured by pouring a strewable mixture of fibers and binder onto press plates and then stack-pressing, with a coat of paint being applied to the board surface after pressing, the board shall be provided with a coat of paint of extremely long life approximately corresponding to the life of the board. This problem is solved by the invention in that a binder liquid colored-through with an inorganic dye is deposited on the layer of the strewable layer poured on the press plate and that the press plate together with the layers so deposited is fed to the press.
Abstract: A process is created for incorporating surface structures into wood-cement boards which are pressed during cement hardening in a batch press and then are kept in clamping apparatus in the pressed state for a substantial length of time.In the invention the wood-cement boards freed from their plates and after their storage in the clamping apparatus are fed to a calendering system of which the calendering rolls are provided with a surface structure, the wood-cement boards moving between the calender rolls and being provided by these with surface structures on one or on both sides.
