  • Apparatus for separating unwanted contaminants from fibrous slurry

    Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for screening a fibrous slurry including a rotatable drum whose circumferential wall includes a screen. The screen has spaced openings with longitudinal axes or elongations which are large relative to the transverse axes or gaps defined by the openings. The openings are disposed with their longitudinal axes extending circumferentially of the rotatable drum. The drum has at least one open end. A slurry delivery conveyor terminates adjacent to the drum for delivery of slurry within the drum.
