Abstract: Described is a mould (1) for making a temporary prosthetic component for a knee in an operating room comprising: a first half-mould (10); a second half-mould (20) which can be coupled to the first half-mould (10) for forming a moulding chamber (C) for a temporary prosthetic component made of medical cement; and elements (30) for fixing the first half-mould (10) to the second half-mould (20). Each fixing element (30) has a rod (31) configured for connecting the first half-mould (10) to the second half-mould (20) and defining a weakness neck (32) configured to allow a facilitated breakage of the rod (31).

Abstract: Mould and method for realizing a temporary prosthesis of hip or shoulder, which comprises a shaft and a head. The mould comprises: a first mould portion (1) comprising a first half-shell (2); a second mould portion (3) comprising a second half-shell (4); the first mould portion (1) and the second mould portion (3) being able to be coupled with respect to each other so that the first and second half-shell (2, 4) are counter-faced and define a chamber (5) which conforms a shaft portion (5a), a head portion (5b) and an opening (5c) for injection of a fluid (preferably viscous) material; fixing means (6) for fixing the first and the second portion (1, 3); a first insert (7) comprising a cap portion (8) which is realized as a unique body, is dimensioned to be inserted in the head portion (5b) and is conformed to give shape to the head of the prosthesis.
Abstract: The present invention refers to a thoracic prosthesis constituted by a right hemisphere ED and a left hemisphere ES joined together, or to only one of the two hemispheres, or to only one portion of the latter. The present invention further relates to a method for the preparation of a synthetic thoracic prosthesis PT constituted by a right hemisphere ED and a left hemisphere ES joined together by only one of the two hemispheres or by a single portion of the latter; all of the above being prepared without any direct interaction with human body and prior to implantation therein.
